Worst way you have died in a videogame

worst time(s) I died wasn't because it was a particularly embarrassing death... it was the numbers that mattered.

18 (yes, 18) deaths in a row in CoD4 multiplayer, and what did I achieve? 1 assist kill.

I felt like digging a hole and hiding in it.

edit: I just remembered a more relevant death! GTA IV: massive car chase, bullets flying everywhere, my car starts burning - I have to jump out. Car blows up, and I get out just. A chain reaction starts and another 2 cars go up in flames, yet somehow I barely survive. Bullets are wizzing around all around me, I'm barely alive... then a car comes over and knocks me over lightly and I die.

Yeah.

One of them comes from the first God of War game. I'd gotten almost to the top of the Blades of Hades, bumped into an enemy or blade (I can't really remember) and fell all the way down hitting blades and enemies alike until slamming into the ground and dying. I almost put my controller through the T.V. after that.
Another was during GTA 4. I had stolen a helicopter and started climbing. I then tried to change the camera direction and accidentally hit the escape button and jumped to my death.

Some of my Halo 3 deaths really take the cake. A Banshee was lasered, and the biggest piece landed on me and killed me.

Ironic, i got a splatter for exactly that!

Knew i'd find the culprit here somewhere... =P

Every time I round a corner and see a kritzkrieg's heavy weapons guy already firing and staring back into my eyes.

I swear, one second, your alive, the next second, your 47 miles back and your medic is very shocked.

Cod 4 on veteran, doing the inside of the TV station. Hiding in a cupboard in the corner. Ive been hit once, and as such am nearly dead. I'm regenerating, then just as i'm ready to go back to the door and snipe a bit to clear the place out, four grenades roll into the cupboard. Ive never been so stunned in all my life.

Well I've died a few times in fallout 3, in the start of it, worst way I've died? Suicide, put 10 frag, pulse, and plasma mines on the ground, put 5 frag, pulse, and plasma grenades on the ground, then I used the MIRV to launch 8 mininukes on the ground where I am standing on top of the mines and grenades.

That sounds more like the most awesome way to die

OT: When I was playing Eternal Sonata and was farming for gold so I could get the sixth soul shard. The controller stopped working, but the game didn't catch on and I had to sit there and watch my characters die. Bullshit.

Splash Damage from my own Spartan Laser is a classic. Also, forgetting to search for traps in the the Infinity Engine/Neverwinter Nights games.

There was one dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker where I was swinging over a chasm on my grappling hook when a flaming Keese hit me... Something about Link dropping into the abyss in flames seemed like such utter pwnage...

well i would suppose it was GTA 4 when i just got in one for the first time and tried to get the achievment for flying under the bridges and i touched the water which sucked the helicopter in like a super powered dyson hoover and before i knew what was happening i was caught in an explosion as it clipped the bridge

whenever im reloading.seriously, if you ar reloading online and some guy just comes up to you and watches as you reload, then knifes you/pistols you, its so annoying... as is death by bouncing betty, and the worst is meleeing a guy who is holding a bouncing betty or has just put one down, cos they go off when you die, so as he dies, you die

Team Fortress 2, on heavy, with a medic, fully charged and ready to go. Then my medic is backstabbed followed by me less than a second later.

I hate spys.

Also Fallout 3 had many annoying deaths; I remember meeting my first rabid bear thing. I saw this thing in the distance, couldn't see what the fuck it was. As it started running towards me I very nearly shit myself. Then ANOTHER ONE appeared behind it. Anyway I managed to kill one of them and since I was low lvl at the time and pussy I tried to make a run form it. I kept running backwards while filling this guy full of shotgun shells. Finally the bear fell in mid air, scaring the life out of me. There was about ten seconds of relief before I was killed by a mole rat coming at me from behind.

Edit: Startled the witch in L4D, got a no scope headshot, and proceed to get torn apart by a hunter after a short moment of pride since my friends can't watch my back for ten seconds without getting distracted by the achievement list.
