So what is your least favourite add-on for a weapon from any game? I can't think of that many games besides the Call of Duty series that include add-ons for weapons but there may be some out there so yeah, any addon from any game.

One thing I do ask is that you also post your reason for hating said add-on: are you bad with it; is it overpowered/underpowered; is it overused?

For me personally it is a fight for top place between the Acog sight and the thermal vision, both from Modern Warfare 2. Though I must say that the thermal vision takes the cake simply because it removes the skill needed in sniping, at least the skill in being able to actually see your target from across the map. My reason for disliking the Acog sight by the way is because I suck with it but everyone else I've seen is amazing with it.

The red dot sight in Crysis muliplayer. Sure it might help with aiming, but I never thought it was worth it since every helicopter/VTOL pilot, sniper, tank commander and infantryman could see you coming from literally a kilometer away (especially at night). It was like a huge beacon screaming "shoot my stupid ass! =D".

I really dislike the uprgrades for the Revolver in Bioshock solely because of the damage to the aesthetic appeal. I mean I like the look of the revolver, charming and elegant but now with an extra roll of bullets forced onto one side it just looks like it's sprouting a deformed tumor.
Not really for me, the rest of the upgrades are okay though.

The red dot sight in Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is useless because you can't use it while in cover and you spend almost the entire game taking cover.

The laser sight in L4D2.
Does it actually do anything or am I missing the point somewhere?

Look at your cross hairs as you JUST put on the laser sight. It shrinks by about half a centre metre. It also doesn't expand so much with Assault rifles and snipers when moving.

I'm assuming you're a shotgun user because it doesn't really do anything for shotguns.

I love the laser sight in L4D2, especially with something like the "Desert Combat Rifle" or the "Military Sniper Rifle"; I wish I could put a laser on my crowbar to make it more accurate.

I loathe the grenade launcher attachments from Modern Warfare (2, specifically, since I've not played the original, but I've read that it's just as annoying to play against), to the point that when I played against a "noob tuber" (a title that Infinity Ward seems to have endorsed) with a sexual gamertag, I filed a complaint. It's especially annoying that they require you to use it to get the under-mounted shotgun.

Meh, I think they balanced it pretty well, between cold blooded, the very small line of sight while using it, and the unfortunate side effect of simply using a grayscale version of the textures for the terrain, even on snow maps.

Ammo types in Bioshock. They're completely superfluous and an immense pain in the ass to load and reload. I'd rather run out of ammo and switch to a weapon then have the game try to switch ammo types for me, force me to go through the reload animation, then force me to wait for it to load up another weapon when I decide that I seriously don't need electric rounds. I get the point behind them, but the most thought you ever put into using them is, "oh, I'm fighting a machine, I guess I'll switch to armor piercing." It may as well not have the ammo types and just have one kind of ammo that affects everything.

To really give you an idea of how pointless these ammo types really are, think of the incendiary crossbow bolts. These may be the most needlessly excessive weapon add-on in any game, EVER; in addition to firing a sharpened metal rod through the enemy's skull it sets them on fire. Sounds fun, but half the things in the game already set enemies on fire. Why was this necessary? It just boggles the mind.

attachable shotgun to an assault rifle in the Army of Two game. Just doesn't seem very effective.
