In My opinion i think that it is the pistol in killzone 2 - it takes 2-3 headshots to kill someone whats that about

The search bar. Everyone thinks it's useless so they don't use it. However I think it's very effective. Still, far to few people use it for it to be considered good.
Seriously, there are a lot of bad weapons in video games. However I think the .32 revolver from Fallout 3 really is the worst. Most of us have had pinch situations in games where we run out of ammo for our big guns and resort to using the pathetically weak guns. However you would never do this with the revolver. Why? If you have ammo for it then you have ammo for the hunting rifle. So you would never have a situation in which you use the revolver unless you didn't have a hunting rifle. However you probably wouldn't be carrying a revolver around either so you would have to get it off a nearby corpse. If that's the case then there's probably another corpse nearby with a better gun on it, most likely a hunting rifle.
Plus the revolver is about as effective as a grape launcher. Less actually. At least you could eat the grape launcher ammo after the battle.
EDIT: I just remembered that Lincoln's Repeat uses .44 ammo, not .32.

Any pistol that has infinite ammo. For some reason, developers decide to give a people a gun with infinite ammo so they could have something to fall back on, but then made it suck ass to make the infinite ammo warranted. If you're going to give a person a secondary weapon, make it have infinite ammo if you want, but don't make it take 20 shots to kill someone.
I never understood this. Why did everybody find the needler to be useless? I loved it. Yeah it's piss weak if you only shoot a few needles but if you pump a good amount into one target they explode. It's great against elites, plus you can easily find more ammo amongst the many grunt corpses.Anachronism said:

Effective at medium range, it far exceeded the capabilities of the shotgun in tight spaces at any range that exceeded direct hand to hand. I think it's because in Halo 3, it didn't have quite the same amount of oomph it had in 1 and 2.Internet Kraken said:

edit: i also forgot to say that they dont get my combo meter up, even with most special moves, and there is almost no alternative when far away from an enemy (even though i love gunslinger lv.4)

I hated how they just kept nerfing the pistol in the halo series. Halo one, it had a scope and was an incredibly effecient mini sniping side arm. Halo two removed the scope but introduced duel wielding. All of a sudden a weapon that could take out a shield in nine hits was accurately delivering those nine hits in half a second by way of a practiced trigger finger. Halo three, the duel wielding remained but all of a sudden the firing speed was drastically reduced. I mean drastically, so much so that they didnt balance the level of power, they completely removed any use the weapon had as a firearm period.
Come on!! The Portal Gun is the best Gun in gaming. Who cares if it can't kill things, there's nothing to kill!!
What gun can beat a gun that can allow to go through one portal and appear somewhere else. Also it is the basis for one of the most intuitive puzzle games in history.
I mean I'm all for mindless killing but, I like to think that some games develop other parts of my brain other than the 'AIM!!SHOOT!!KILL!!' parts of my brain.
But more to the point the worst weapon in gaming is the Assault Rifle. I know I'm going to get slated for this, but let me clarify my argument. I've never liked thing that try to hit the point in-between because inevitably you end up disappointing the larger numbers of the one sided people.
Also you only please the minority who like to do a sort of middle point. I like the shotgun because I can get up close, and watch the beads of sweat roll down their face as I fill them with lead. Or the sniper rifle so I can watch them fall over as their head explodes and chuckle as they have no idea what the hell.
I don't like to have to get so close that they could communicate with me by twitching their nose and then only hit them with enough power to give them a slightly frustrating itch. So they are only slightly distracted from their cup of tea before punching my heart out with a high powered rifle.
This is mainly due to Halo 3. If not exclusively but it extends to most other games.
