Would this make you uncomfortable?

So, due to the marvels of medicine surgeons have managed to complete a full face transplant.

Now while I understand that this operation gave this guy a life and that it shows huge potential for future developments I can't help but feel slightly uneasy.

I am all for organ donation but someone's face seems to be a bit too much for me. That particular example doesn't bother me as I don't know either person but I know I wouldn't want the face of my dead mom put on someone else's body.

So what do you think? Do you see it as perfectly okay, even if it was one of your close relatives?

I can't possibly see how you can feel uncomfortable when a person gets a needed face transplant.
It's not like people just get one to get one, it's only given when absolutely needed.
OT: I don't really care either way. If they want/need a transplant, then let them get one.

We should be celebrating the awesomeness of the surgeons and him pulling through, not berating the poor guy.

That's got to be weird for the surgeons. Pulling out a kidney is one thing, cutting someone's face off is quite different. But, at least it was for a good cause.

Definitely not. If a person can get out of looking like a ghoul by means of a face transplant, then more power to them. People's bone structures are different => you're not going to see your dead friend walking down the street.

No, the face would still be different. the underlying bone structure would be different so at best you might see a 'family resemblance', but it would still be a different face then the original person.
