Not only would it be a very odd and boring thing to do in general, since I have 2 drives and millions of individual files which would make no sense to my Mum, but also, why the fuck would I show pornography to my elderly Mother?

It doesn't matter who the pornography belongs to, just the notion of man in his 30's suddenly showing pornography to an woman in her late 60's is kind of sick and wrong, but the fact it's my own mother just makes it even worse.

800 MB of images and written material. A folder that's 3MB of material I'VE WRITTEN, and a lengthy email conversation with an "Erin Houdini." As well as code and conversation logs from a website that was recently procured by that sextoy website for certain people.

Trust me, you're not the only one who keeps an archive. I haven't even touched the history either from the browser. My family doesn't know my sexy side. I'd much rather they never, ever learn the finer details. (TBH, my bros know a little bit.)

This thread did make me think of something my friend did tho. He did/does alot of Starcraft streaming so he had a huge amount of streaming vids on his harddrive. Anyway he upgrades to a new computer and sells the old one to his brother. Knowing that his brother is going to snoop around his files before he wipes the hdd, my friend renames the 60gig folder contaning his Starcraft vids to Horse Porn.

His brother was very weired around him for about a month before he found out the truth as he was too scared to open the folder himself.

I would, yes, seeing as I have my porn collection on there. I wouldn't be embarrassed about the majority of it, but there is a little but of fetish/"out there" sort of stuff on there as well, which I'd rather keep contained to my own knowledge. But even then, it wouldn't be the end of the world. It's not like any of it is immoral or anything.

So I'd rather not anyone see it, but if I really had to, I don't think it'd bother me to much.

I'd be embarrassed to show my parents and most of my friends. My best friend already knows about it, so I wouldn't be embarrassed to show her at all. As for my (hypothetical) significant other, if I have to be embarrassed about the contents of my hard drive with her, I don't think I'd want to be with her. Not so much because I particularly want to share the contents of my hard drive, mind you, but because I don't want to be embarrassed around someone who I want to spend my time with. There's some weird stuff in my archive, and I want to be accepted despite that.

As for my games, everyone can already see my Steam library and wish list, so I give significantly fewer fucks about those. My music library is full of J-Pop/Anime/Game stuff, but I wouldn't be embarrassed to show anyone that, either, as long as they're also okay with all of the anime I have, particularly the more ecchi stuff.

OT: I wouldn't care... In fact, I would relish at the possibility of answering questions such as:

Besides a few pictures that people might question, I wouldn't be embarrassed (mainly pictures of the one non-human character from videogames that gives me a boner). I have pictures that I do the thing for, but it's not outright porn (I seem to be a person who prefers the women to have some semblance of clothing on for reasons I don't understand myself. My main guess is imagination).
