I'm would not like any one to see the content of my hard drive because I'm deep in the closet and I'm not ready to come out to my conservative family.

Well there is "that one folder" that is best left unopened.

Up to 24 gigs and counting now. I only keep the good stuff though so I'd be embarrassed but I'd still be like "No for real this shit is good though."
At a quick glance my 'hidden' folders are approaching a terabyte. You know...if someone had said that to me 10 years ago I'd have laughed in their face.

There are 2 things I hoard. Music and...material. All of it straight (well, nothing man on man) but still. Fortunately neither of my last two ladyfriends have been especially computer literate or curious about the contents of my drives.

Somewhere on my laptop is a lost folder of nudes from an ex-partner. They would certainly find it more embarrassing than I would, but it's not really the kind of thing you want your parents to see. I don't really keep stuff on my laptop that I would find embarrassing (except for maybe a couple of musical pieces I've written) if I can- having two older brothers tends to make you rather paranoid about that shit.

Hmm. I'd have to say not really.

I tend to have a lot of technical data on my hard drive and some personal stuff that I enjoy (fictional stories, TCG deck recipies, pictures that I saved from the internet [none of which are embarrassing to me], video game files, etc.).

The only thing that I would be a little concerned about is some personal projects that I've been working on and they are essentially work-in-progress. I wouldn't mind it too much once I've completed them, but they're honestly not that great to begin with; it's just something that I did for me and me alone.
