Well, to be honest, I'm an atheist, but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to kill a god. And I'm not really fussy about which one, either. Everything that has a beginning has an end. How I'm going to proceed in killing said godly entities, I have no idea at this point. However, forget any 'Clash of the Titans' kind of duel, with fireballs and lightning flying everywhere. It would have to be something stealthy, while I look for weaknesses, maybe even a straight out assassination if a shot presents itself.
As for why I'd do that? Certainly not because I'm remotely interested in higher ideals, such as the survival of mankind, or upholding some ancient principles. I'd rather do it to prove the failings of religion, or to test myself against cosmically calculated odds. Or I'd just do it 'cause I have a death-wish.

My only plan would be thus:
1. When shit hits the fan, go and try and be a hero.
2. Fail miserably and die.
3. Go to Hell
4. Still in Hell
5. Come back from Hell, all Hellspawn-like, 'cept with my charm and good looks (LOL!) intact.
6. Mindless slaughter of Gods who try and stop me
7. More mindless slaughter.
8. By this time I make Kratos look like a Saint.
9. Win, and be a hero to the mortals.
10. Repeat steps 6, 7 and 8 till bored.
11. Go back to hell for a cold beer and to store my trophies, and by that I mean severed body parts
12. ????
13. PROFIT!!

Zombie Gods? All curent Gods? Gods from all religions past and present? I'm in either way. My weapons of destruction have been ready to go for years in the event of Armageddon, just need assembled. Of course, Neil Gaiman implies (in American Gods) that if we just all quit believing in Gods they won't have any power.
