Hey guys I've been wondering over a a couple of things and if you watch the telly then you will get this joke (british telly).
Now my real question is how do you accept piracy?
Personally I think it's wrong so how do you feel about it?

I think it can be morally justifiable and have no objections to it.
And please use the search bar, there are tons of these.

Would you steal a baby?
Would you shoot a policeman, then steal his helmet, then go to the toilet in his helmet and send it to his grieving widow.....then steal it again?!

Downloading IS stealing, do it and suffer the consequences (ie. get shot!)

Of course I would go in a police officers hat, because as the saying goes, "When you gotta go, you gotta go."

As for piracy, it has become such a normal thing for people to do. It isn't hackers stealing these downloads, it isn't criminals, or thugs. It's people like, your friends, parents, maybe even grandparents, and any other family member you can think of. The point is it has become so simple to do, and is so open to the world that what can those trying to stop it really do?

People can complain about how it's bad, and the people that make the original material can say "Oh no, please don't do that." but people always will. Why? Because the creators are retards. Find a way to prevent your things from being taken, instead of bitching about it. End of story.

Pirating software is for bastards. People can try to justify it, but it no matter the reason, stealing something you don't absolutely need means that you're a jerk.

As for the pooping in a policeman's hat bit, I have to say no, since everybody knows girls don't poop. That's how you can tell Two Girls One Cup was faked.

It's amazing the amount of people that say this everyday, yet do it them self.

OT: As for the police hat thing..... No

I think it's a bad thing as it stops developers getting paid and then developing games or stops games coming out on PC. I don't think it's as widespread or dooming as the industry makes out mind you.

EDIT: F U youtube

XD first off, awesome joke. British comedy FTW.

I can't stand piracy personally, especially when it comes to games. The gaming industry is a burgeoning world and having people rip and download every new release is causing serious harm to it. I't not like the film or music industry which has had decades to cement itself firmly into peoples lives and the economy, the games industry is this unstable and piracy is simply picking away at the foundations.

Personally, I think it's wrong, if I got to choose I would have everyone shot who did it, why has the quality on all media slipped? No one pays for it anymore. I want quality back!

We differ here. I don't think the 'illegal' procurement of nonessential goods can be justified with morals.

I usually don't care about it either way. But if I really, really like it, I'll go buy a nice hard-copy at some point, if I can.

For stuff like music on iTunes, most people get it somewhere else because it's a fucking ripoff. For example, in the UK, most songs are 79 or 99p, but when I was in the US I found the same stuff for 79c, which means the UK market is losing out. Either way, it's way too fucking expensive, and the costs are nowhere near justifiable, since almost none of that goes to the artists themselves. If it was lowered, even to 50p per song, a metric shit-ton of piracy would disappear, because it would be much more accessible and less of a rip-off. Lower still, and piracy would almost vanish; almost, of course, because there are always going to be bastards, no matter what price it's at. They're the same kind of people who paid 1c or pirated that charity bundle where you set your own price for 5 or so games.

On the topic of movies, I've watched a couple online, when I have no way of getting out to see them. However, if I like it, I'll buy a hard copy as soon as I can get it, and even if not, my mum will probably end up buying it because that's the kind of thing she does. I've never, and never would, however, pirate games.~ (.___. )

The IT crowd is so much win.
Yes, yes I would. It seems like the right shape and size to man the cannons on. I mean, if there were no legal repercussions. Like if it was a Policeman's hat that's abandoned, left at the tip and unowned. If so, then prepare for broadside bombardment, hat!

Deceptive title is deceptive.

I don't care about piracy and all of that junk, there are a million arguments for and against it and at the end of the day; the fact remains that it still exists.

[small]Plus I'm a bit of a novice pirate myself.[/small]

PIRACY IS BAD!

Well, you've got to be pregnant to 'legally' fill a policeman's hat.
But if the opportunity arose, hell yeah I'd WRECK his hat...
