Would you like the next Elder Scrolls game to focus on Elsewyr or Black Marsh?

Please note that I am not counting TESO because it's an MMO and is being made by Zenimax with permission and support from Bethesda.

The title is self explanatory.

However after reading the wikis and the lore surrounding the Argonians and the Khajiit I have been itching to wonder if Bethesda has ever thought about making their next Elder Scrolls installment based entirely around Elsewyr the khajiit homeland or Black Marsh the homeland of the Argonians.

Now don't get me wrong, I like all the Elder Scrolls games. Both of them had an deep rich world full of culture and traditions.

However for me, Morrowind felt the most interesting because to me because it featured the homeland of the dark elves.
Cyrodill and Skyrim have a bit of familiarity to it. Both of the races are basically human, so we have sense of real life familiarity.
However how much do we know about Khajiit or Argonians? Sure we read the books (if your into that.) and Morrowind did touch up a little bit about it in game, but as we all know books don't tell everything.

Another reason is because I am kind of curious how the whole thing with the Aldmeri/Thalmor things has turned out since Skyrim.
Especially in Elsewyr- where in the books it said the reason why the elves won the favor of the Khajiits was because they brought back their moons which suddenly disappeared for two whole years- which in my opinion is all sorts of suspicious.

What are your thoughts?
If you disagree, what other region would you like the next Elder scrolls installment to focus on?

Black Marsh just because I love Argonians. IMO they're the best race.
I would really like to see the other "types" of Argonians if they ever do a Black Marsh installment.
Plus they have Naga people.
Who wouldn't kill to see that.

Well both of these are much smaller than Skyrim as areas in Tamriel, so I wouldn't be surprised if they linked both of them in some way in the same game.
If choosing one, I prefer the Khajit so Elsewyr.

Neither. I want Bethesda to make it hundreds of years in the future so I can fly an Airship. I want a Huge Game, with Airships.
If I remember correctly all Elder Scroll games take place hundreds if not thousands of years after the last installment.

There is a Skyrim mod called Moons to Elsewyr that did indeed involve airships. However that is more fan canon than a probable legitimate technology leap.

You gotta check out the wiki info on the Argonians.
It's some crazy stuff.
All sorts of interesting creatures there.

As a Dunmer player, you are nothing more than a slave.

OT personally i would really like Summerset Isles. seeing Altmer society would be really awesome, especially seeing things from the Thalmor point of view. yes they are dicks in skyrim but if we were seeing it from the other side, the empire would look like the bad guys
IMO this was the biggest failiure in skyrim's writing, they had an all bad all the time bad guy without showing anything else.

What I'd like to see is Akavir. Start the next game as a part of the second imperial expidition to Akavir, get cut off from the main continent, make the choice between trying to subjegate or establish peaceful relations with the locals... there are a lot of possibilities there, especially considering that we don't actually have any idea what's going on there right now.

Of course with Skyrim wrapped up and no new content planned they're probably going to have to keep going with the Thalmor thing, but hey, a man can dream, can't he?

Both would be tricky due to lore restrictions, but like I've said lore doesn't sell games to most of the masses so who cares?

The lore restrictions would be: The entire central area of Black March is so toxic that only Argonians can venture there. Elsewyr would be awesome landscape wise, but the fact there are about a dozen or so types of Kajjihit it's quite unlikely a game will happen there way to much design effort.

Most likely a game in Hammerfell or Highrock seem most likely. A setting around the Orcs rebuilding Orsinium would be pretty boss. Could be a joint country thing.

The only elder scrolls game that takes place hundreds of years later is Skyrim. All of the other Elder scrolls game take place roughly in the same time period.(a few decades at most)

I want to see Summerset Isles in the next installment as well. If their architecture matches their clothes/armor/weapon design, It would an awesome land to explore. I also wonder what the Altmer's culture is like within their homeland.

Skyrim is 200 years after Oblivion, but Arena to Oblivion are within about 40 years (all during the life of Uriel Septim VII, the guy who gets killed at the start of Oblivion).

They could alleviate the load if they use the Khajiit models from the previous games. All the Khajiit redesigns they have done throughout the franchises history was a result of them improving the Khajiits as a model so to speak. However they were so wildly different that they decided that each game had a different "sub" category of the Khajiit race.

This is one of those times where taking advantage of the mod community helps. There are many mods out there that have altered Khajiits to look like one or the other various types of cats talked about in the lore.
Not to mention there are plenty of modding fans who will be more than happy to do that work for them.
It's not like the others are that much of an effort.
The only Khajiits they haven't covered yet (that have a major different appearence) are the human appearing Khajiit, the Khajiit that are basically giant big cats (that double as mounts) and the Khajiit that look and even sound like cats- but have the intelligence of a upright Khajiit. Which basically amounts to a domesticated cat model.
It's kind of weird how no one really did what Valve did in the early days.
Have fans of the games do half the work for them, then put them on the team.

While I didn't say it in the OP I am also interested in seeing Valenwood.
Especially when they don't have any aversion to eating their opponents in times of war.
In the books they even prepare possible feasts for things like that.

Elsewyr. I think the Khajit need more attention. We get at least some information on Argonian culture (shadow scales, the fact they have a monarchy, etc.). Obviously not a lot, but more than we get on the Khajit.

I kind of want the Summerset Isles if only because they're islands, but the Oblivion mod gave me a taste of Elsewyr and I wouldn't mind more.
