1. I am an American.

2. Most memorable Democratic presidents...JFK. His strange voice is forever implanted within the anals of American pop culture. Also he got us through the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Bill Clinton. Okay, so he liked to get paid "under the table" but he gave us a very prosperous decade. Plus he's very relevant to pop culture.
I guess I'll say FDR for all that WWII stuff.

3. Lincoln. Although it's hard to say that he was a republican cuz that party isn't exactly (good) what it used to be.
Ronald Reagan. Without him who would all subsequent republicans fawn over? Serously though, he helped bring down the Berlin Wall.
Finally good 'ol W. He will go down in the history books as our worst modern president ever. That makes him valuable.

No, Im not American. I am unsure about the parties, but JFK, Washington, Lincoln, Nixon, FDR, Hoover and Eisonhower stick in my mind as perhaps my 'favourite' presidents based on very little knowledge of this politics business.

Mr. Ninja although I'm surely going to get some speech on this but, Hayes? Why Hayes?

EDIT: I meant to ask why you need this info? You aren't trying to get us to do some world history homework are you?

Mostly because of this. All things considered he was a pretty rotten President.
But he had an awesome beard.

You'll be getting rid of Bush soon, you could have some evil villain that is smart and be a better president under the "4Chan party" and it'll still be better!

1) Are you American?
No. I am Icelandic.

2) In your opinion, which 3 Democratic presidents are most memorable?
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, for pulling the U.S. of A. through the great depression and the second world war.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, for winning the space race, trying to tone down the cold war and being murdered on film.
William Jefferson Clinton, for beeing exactly the kind of president the USA needed andter "winning" the cold war, and getting a blowjob in the oval office!

3) In your opinion, which 3 Republican presidents are most memorable?
Richard Milhous Nixon, for being a crook (Watergate)!
Ronald Wilson Reagan, because he came to Iceland to meet with Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev, resulting in the INF Treaty and the decrease of both countries' nuclear arsenals. Was then noted for being "not very smart".
George Walker Bush, for being ... well, a moron. I think it is safe to say he has left his mark on history. No need for me to go on a lengthy rant about it here.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I hope this helps.

P.S. I guess I should ad that although many of the former American presidents are at least as memorable as these, if not more so, their party affiliation is often unknown to people. For example I have no idea if Lincon was a republican or a democrat.

No, that's not it, so don't worry. ^^ It's some kind of poll I'm making to go with the history project I wrote. But since I'm Dutch, I don't run into enough Americans and other nationalities to get some answers in person, that's why I'm asking online.

Thanks everyone so far!

@ Neosage - maybe it was a typo, but I'm actually a she. ;-)

To be honest im surprised more people haven't mentioned Nixon, seeing as the whole Watergate scandal bit changed peoples attitudes to politicians, with effects that are still present today. As well as having numerous other lasting effects, for example the republican party becoming more conservative than it was with and before Nixon (who was a balanced president), as well as the addition of "gate", taken from watergate, on the end of pretty much most major politics related scandals. In addition to this there are various other areas which his presidency had an impact, which im too lazy to get into. In answer to your question im british and this will take a bit of thought which right now im far too tired to apply, so i will come back and post again at some point if i get a chance.
