How about I just keep my current looks, and get rich anyway? That sounds good to me.

If I had to choose, though, I'd rather be rich and have an ugly face.

Rich of course. What do I need good looks for except sex and influence and AFAIK rich people rarely have a problem with those. Unless by "ugly" you mean fat or crippled, then I would reconsider.

What's wrong with being fat?

Anyway, I'd probably refuse, since I have plenty of money (for now) and I am not that bad to look at. But if I had to choose, probably pretty.
On the other hand, I always wanted to be rich, just to not do anything. MMhhhh.

Rich, definitely. I'm already used to being ugly, but it would be nice to be able to retire at 24 and never have to worry about finances again. I could move out of my shitty apartment and buy a house. I would spend all my time reading books, playing videogames and listening to music, so it wouldn't matter that I'm ugly, because I would never meet anybody. Done. Simple.

I'd have to go with rich. Then I could buy my good looks and if that fails, then I'll just buy people to compliment and indulge me regardless of my appearance. A trophy wife is still a wife, if you get my drift.

Since I'm a cheapskate no matter how wealthy I am... I'll go with good-looking. At least then you don't have to wonder if people like you for your money :D

I'll take the money. I can always try pulling off the "inner beauty" thing anyways.

Brilliantly, by chosing EITHER of these you can get to the other choice as well.

If you are rich but ugly, you could simply opt for plastic surgery, until you were "sexy".

Or, if you were sexy but poor, you could get a job as an actor or a model, and make millions.

Since I am poor but good looking, I'd go with..Even better good looking and still poor.

Money never solved anything for me.

I'll go with rich.
Money may not buy happiness, but it can buy a Segway. And honestly that's probably the closest I can ever get to happiness in this life.

So would something like this kind of ugly make you reconsider?

That is terrifying.

OT: Definitely rich for the all the reasons previously listed by other people.

I chose sexy.
Step 1) Be sexy
Step 2) Acquire job as actor
Step 3) Become rich
Step 4) Don't let the fame go to your head and remember to invest.
Well yes but if you were rich you could just make yourself sexy.
Still I'd rather go with what you said: I'd love to be a professional actor.
Sure you could make yourself sexy when you're rich, but the operation could go south and you would be deformed. Also it would cost a lot so you wouldn't necessarily be rich anymore, just above average.
Plus it wouldn't be genuine, I'd rather have my looks actually BE mine and not what some plastic surgin put there.
That too. I can drink to that.

Atherosclerosis, diabetes, poor athletical abilities, sweating, being mocked, being uncofortable in most vehicles, the list goes on.

Fat people can't windsurf. Fuck that.
I never said it was healthy, but it's not UGLY as you put it. That is just offensive. Is Opera fat? yes. is She Ugly? Not Really. And the same goes for crippled. Can't find a proper example, but there is.
Fat is not Ugly damnit! Untill it reaches a certain level that is, but everything does. even pretty becomes creepy when it's pushed. Being Muscular can be good untill it's grotesque. Being too fat makes you fricking hilarious when you can't walk anymore, because your leg resembles a beachball.

And you listed physical incapabilities, not "uglyness". There is a difference

I'll take the money. I don't really like people in general, so my apperance means little to me, my intrests on the other hand require lots of capital.

(Who knew building custom cars would cost so much?)

I saw this thread in another forum and thought it might be an interesting topic in here.

If you could only choose one of them and be stuck with it forever, what would it be? Rich but ugly or sexy but poor?
What kind of a question is this? Money is more important than looks any day.

This is like asking if I would rather get good grades forever or have a chocolate bar. Unless I'm some idiot who can't think ahead more than 5 minutes or I already have good grades, I'll choose the former.
