Would you reccomend Bayonetta?

Now please before you go off typing yes hear me out first. Am a Devil may cry fanboy to the bitter end i think its the greatest series to ever grace video games. i have played everyone of them so much its just insane. Ever since theres news of the new one not being developed by capcom i've been crushed and ready to say goodbye to dmc. its because i relized its not just the game thats amazing its the heart and love from the team.

So i steadily remembered Bayonetta a game i shunned so long ago. Its from the same guy who did DMC1 though. Now whether you liked DMC or not just is the gameplay somthing i'll like?

I remember hearing about quik time events (Uhg!) some motorcycle section (Hair pullingstupid) a bunch of scripted bosses that require specific ways to kill not the standard DMC boss fight of all your weapons hurt them so just hit them and dodge.

As of now am very on the fence its a game i want to own it may sound weird but my fanboyism is making me hate it but i want to love because of the director.

Is there anything you guys can say that might reassure me? Any Devil may cry veterans who also like bayoneeta around to put my qorries to rest?

I motorcycle scene isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, though it still isn't great. The game is fantastic, and you still do get to fight about every boss with whatever combination of weapons you like, the QTEs just come in near the ends of fights as a part of the finishing blow.

I wouldn't recommend the game, I bought it looking forward to the campy humor and stylized hack and slash action, and I returned it 4 days later.

The game is just one giant linear corridor full of easy yet cheap enemies that'll take half your life in one swing, ridiculously easy puzzles, b.s. QTEs that pop out of no where, that driving section you mentioned which is just shoe horned in to change it up it bit and it sucks.

I don't know, some people did like it and I'm still scratching my head how IGN gave the game a 9.5.

I thought the game was crap, but maybe I'm misunderstanding something...=/
