Me and my friends played Silent Hill 2 a few mounths ago and while we where doing it one of us asked "Do you think any of us would have been able to survive this? If we went to Silent Hill do you think we could have been able to survive?" Not a singel one of us said yes.

So im asking you. Do you think you have what it takes to survive Silent Hill? Not the silent hill from the game "Silent Hill 2" but your own. The form it takes when you enter the city. The monsters created from your own mind not James Sunderlands.

As i mentoion above none of us though we could survive Silent Hill and i think we where around 5 guys playing when he asked the question. I have no idea what kind of monsters would pop up if i entered Silent Hill and i don't want to find out. So no. I don't think i would survive the town.

(Sorry for my poor English skills and if this has been done before feel free to tell me. And if it has been done before im sorry.)

No one has what it takes, except perhaps an unimaginative buffoon. This is assuming you are screwed up enough that the city comes calling for you.

probably not....BUT as long as I can hit on some creepy nurses I'll be happy.

As for my own monsters......I don't know, again probably not. But I am sort of intrigued to see what would show up.

With the sort of thing that goes through my head, god no.
Jumpy screamy BOO things never affect me in the slightest...the stuff that town would have to create to scare me... I wouldn't ever want to try taking it on.

Have you ever read 1984? See, I've never played a Silent Hill (and I call myself a horror fan... I swear, I'll get to it at some point), but I've read that comic that was supposed to be like the first game and as far as I can tell it was like Room 101 from 1984... if I'm correct, my answer will be an absolute, definite, no freaking way.

not a chance in hell, knowing my psyche my silent hill wouldnt screw me other till a few months down the line and would star out slowly,i.e remote for tele being just out of reach, or the shop would never have any milk, all eventually ending with something me being lit on fire and eaten

Yeah, I'd survive. Just not in the town. I'd head back home, where it's safe, which NO ONE in the series seems to have thought of doing.

I'd easily survive.

I'd go back home.
See, no one ever thinks of that in the beginning. I kept trying to get back into the car, but James didn't seem to understand why! I kept saying, "I've seen the box James, this isn't gonna be pretty. And I'll tell you something else, I don't think your wife's actually waiting for you here. In fact, I'm almost positive this is an elaborate trap."

it's pretty hard to imagine this, truth be told. as the town takes shape according to whoever visits it at the time, one could posit that everyone can survive simply by facing his/her fears and working out inner troubles.
the most pressing point, however, is human nature: we are unable to guess what we would do in a given situation unless we have experienced it before. Everyone can say they will help a senior get up after a fall, but most people wouldn't. the same goes for murdering a man. the same goes for this.

We humans are more resilient than most of us can imagine...so i'd like to think anyone can make it through. would be interesting to see, but not interesting enough to go and find out :p

If you consider the combat system of Silent Hill 2, I would just pick up the nearest weapon I can find and go Rambo on the nightmare creatures. Really, think about how the monsters in that game behave in combat. Now consider fighting something that moves like that. I don't foresee any problems.

Consider what my fears, doubts and negatives aspect of my self, I would be dead within the minutes. My negative manifests will charge right at me before I can soil myself at them.

I might. My mind is wierd. It's filled with things like unicorns and one of my male friends in a dress so I guess I'd be alright.

If I couldn't just leave? No. Infact, I would probably jump off a building before dark world sets in...

well, the thing is i pretty much already have. i went through some severe insomnia some years ago, and hallucinated pretty badly. i would definitely be better prepared than most, im sure i could survive the psychological horror, but frankly, i have some really violent mental imagery.

so, i suppose i would be mentally stable enough try my best before the teddy bear-bioshock splicer monster rips out my innards.
