I probably would survive. I'm strong, fit, smart and have seen enough zombie movies to avoid the mistakes everyone else makes. If I do die, everyone will be able to know where I am from the pile of undead corpses around me.

I'd carry around a gun with one bullet and sit all day locked in a 20 story building playing Dramatic Music and the 28 Days Later Theme on an Organ at full blast until the zombies go away, if all fails I'll shoot myself with the one bullet

Well, I have spirit. I think that would get me far. But since I don't have any weapons, it'd be hard.

I have alot of wooden shields and spears in the basement for a recreation of the Passion of the Christ, a box of ammo, and plenty of heavy but throwable things. Yeah, I would be okay even if I was caught off guard. If I knew about it ahead of time, then my friends and I already have 12 plans ready to go, which one will be used depends on the level of the spreading, how easily transferable it is(if it is a disease) and which place is still good to go.

Yes, but only cause it's slow zombies. I would be fine, if you run through the DR zombies they always fail at biting you. I'll just keep at a steady pace.

Probably be the first to go because I can't possibly fight a whole horde of dead people when they are shuffling all around me and when they KILL SOMONE THEIR ARMY's GROW BIGGGER!!!!

Seriously, that is not a situation that anyone who said they could survive actually survive no matter how strong, trained or knowledged they are from zombies (From games or movies) because the zombies will have a lot of the things that the person who they were originally have, Zombies will have guns, knife throwing skills and will be able to use their previous lifes knowledge to manouvre areas, face it, You are no match for a bunch of zombies no matter how many provision you have or zombie survival guides youv'e seen, we are all DOOMED.

The slow zombies can be killed by casually walking away from them, and they will die in like 20 minutes.
Zombies have no heartbeat > no Bloodflow > no oxygen in vital parts > no brain in 20 minutes.
I just disproved zombies.
If they breathe, a swift blow to the head will also do.

luckily i live near cleethorpes
which has an abandoned fort out in the middle of the sea
and them dead rising zombies prolly can't swim i'm guessing
either way there's one way in and one way out of the pier
board up the entrance and we've all the supplies we need until all the zombies die of blood deficiency
and if it turns out they live forever
then i guess nobody survives, even if you die of old age you didn't outlive the zombie apocolypse and lived in fear and in hiding
and thats not really a life at all

Theres a lot of rednecks around my area, so I coul dget guns easily. I'd just gather food, and camp out on my roof. If I ran out, I'd just go to the grocery store and get more. These ARE Dead Rising zombies, the ones that are killed by skateboards and manequinns.

To be honest I'd say I have a shot. In terms of practical means of survival I was in the scouts for four years (we learned a bit more than knots), have some experience with firearms, live close to a Vietnam vet who owns two .22 rifles, have friends quite close to me who are well-ranked members of the school's cadet group and I could easily commandeer a boat and/or food and shelter if I had to. In terms of survival which is pretty much only beneficial to the zombie apocalypse I'm a huge zombie buff, I've tested many a time to see how my dog will respond if a zombie were to attack him (he won't get eaten) and I live in an area with a medium to low population (and if all else fails I can either hold up in the bush and watch as they trip and fall on the various roots, rocks and drops or surround myself with beach and marsh if they are the slow type). Oh, and I have more than enough melee weapons to arm my fellow survivors with, cricket bats, axes, hedge-trimmers, pick-axes etc.

I would survive for awhile. Im in okay shape, but I dont have any thing in the way of real weapons or supplies. The biggest thing in my favour is that I am rather resourceful, so while I would probably die, I would try and take alot of them with me.

I survive. It turns out zombies are a very ineffective disaster, and movies portray many unrealistic, incorrect or inconsistent details regarding their ability to damage or corrupt. [http://www.cracked.com/article_18683_7-scientific-reasons-zombie-outbreak-would-fail-quickly.html]

For one thing, it would take months of federal level neglect for a zombie outbreak to damage nations like the USA or Canada to the extent seen in games or movies, which is unrealistic compared to the SARS scare, which had entire countries locked down within hours after warnings that a spread could be occurring due to less than 10 infected people on one plane.
damm you i was going to use that as my reason why i would survive

I've a friend who collected swords before it was made illegal. Another, her dad used to make ''toys'' when we were small (most the guns were painful, but the last one could take your head off), but having an old guy on our team could slow us down. I am the most agile of us (used to do parkour) I've had a check-up recently and been told I'm in top phisical condition. The problem is that I'm animic, so I can't jump around for too long without partially fainting. I think we could survive for a while.

Why zombies? Have we completely ran out of imagination when it comes to apocalyptical scenarios?
