For sure I'd welcome Bof5, loved Bof3 enough to buy it again on the Psp so I can play it when travelling <3

Otherwise still got a ps1 copy of that and Bof4, would be nice to track down a copy of Bof2 as the character fusion system was...interesting.

I'm glad op didn't count dragon quarter as Bof5 :)

It still technically is Bof 5. Even in the official art book it referes to DQ as Breath of Fire 5. Honestly I'd like to concider it a spin off more then a sequel.

I'm just saying, it's been a good 10 years, they can dust off the property and do something with it. It all comes down to marketing. Dragons Dogma is an awesome game, but it's doing poorly in some sales due to bad marketing. Equally really good marketing can sell it. though I've not known Capcom to market in America that well... ever.

I would be happy to just get BoF3 on the PSN. So annoyed that they only have BoF4 available when BoF3 was bloody amazing. I tried to play #2 once but the encounter rate was so ridiculous that I couldn't take it. You could go maybe 3 steps in a dungeon before getting in yet another fight, so frustrating.

Maybe I'll just dig out my PS1 and my copy of 3 tonight...
Pretty sure the re-release of BoF3 as a UMD made it onto PSN for PsP as I own that version

Capcoms got enough good will earned from Dragons Dogma as far as I'm concerned.
They could give it a shot. I wouldn't even be upset if it's a terrible game.
That game seems to have gotten a lot of mixed opinion surrounding it. Don't know if it was as successful as Capcom would have liked.
Well true, I think it was mixed reception in the States, but it's blowing UP in Japan from what I hear.
Kind of like Monster Hunter; absolutely massive cult following in Japan and a much smaller one in the West.

Its not just the art book. In Japan, it's Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter.

hell yeah, I loved the breath of fire series, it's one of the best jrpg series out there, hands down, and with what systems can do nowadays they could do some pretty awesome stuff with that world with new graphics and other such things, as long as they don't use the same kinda combat system that they had in FF13 or whatever that shit is lame, I prefer turn based to that.
Not pointing this out to be a jerk (I hate the fact that this even needs explaining, and it is admittedly rather off topic), but FF13's system IS turn based. It's a version of the ATB system from the other FF games. You have a party of three that selects actions from menus in a turn-based combat system.
isn't that the one that you only really control one of your people, and it's mostly bollocks? or was that another square game I'm mis-remembering...
No, it was that fun combat system that worked really well. Although, yes, I do seem to recall only controlling one character at a time.

Yes I would love another new Breath of Fire game and to see what they could do with the new gen of consoles if they wait and do it for those.
