Why the hell cant they make their game more more difficult again... I mean the dungeon browser was a nice addition and stuff, but seriously, in a few days everything will be beaten again... Every damn noob is able to get the best gear with no really effort. I'd like to see separately gear you'll only get in raids. Like you can get all the kind-of nice stuff as usual, but if you want to get the ULTRA-L33T-GEAR you have to do a hella difficult raid that can't be finished within a few days...

sorry for my bad english btw
Sure you can get the gear easily, but gear means crap if you can't use it properly.
Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you about that, but it's all that shit with gearscore. All that people take care of is their gearscore (well not all, but definately the majority), and here we come to your point: Gear simply doesn't say shit if your skill is neat. But seriously, who asks about skill? It's all about gearscore nowadays.

And btw, I am sure I didn't do every raid and stuff, because I didn't play WoW that long.
As soon as I was T9 and kind of T10 equipped I quit. And it just doesn't last long to do that.
Friend of mine started playing like 8 or 9 months ago, now he's got 5 lvl 80 characters full T10 equipped and I can't really see whats the point in it.
It's because they only notice the geascore when fighting. One person beats another in a duel and all they can think is "My Gearscore was 2000 points above them, that's why I won, I got the better gear" they didn't take into account that they might have simply been making better use of their death knight's regeneration tactics, and that the hunter they were fighting was relying on the wrong traps to beat him. They see a higher gearscore, they shout and yell about that.

Seeing this makes the nearly dead WoW addict in me give another dying scream, thankfully I saw manny things I didn't like aswell.

Deathwing just seems to powerfull here to be a good villain. He is strong enough to wreck the entire world just by flying around...and then he stopped for some reason I'm sure the Blizzard writers will squize in a reason somewhere.

i liked Arthas much better, he was human,or partly human, and had a huge army he had to command in order to win.

The only reason Gnomes haven't been in a cinematic as of yet is because Blizzard can't think a way of tastefully showing spit-roasted midgets.

I kinda hoping that as each tier of the expansion happens we see some more altered world to show Deathwing is still busy at work whilst we fight our way towards him.

So anyone got a laundry list of zone changes? Much as I detest the gameplay, there's enough nostalgia there for me to be really curious about what happened to all the old areas.

I agree with the crowd that is fairly "meh" about this trailer. To me it's not as impressive as either of the previous expansion pack trailers (Burning Crusade, or especially Liche King). Not to mention the fact that the whole "uber dragon" thing seems kind of stereotypical, and kind of out of place given that a Dragon, even a big one, seems kind of anti-climactic compared to The Lich King. It also seems like a lot of "writer's fiat" to do what Blizzard wants despite all common sense, I understand Deathwing is supposed to be a big deal, but compared to say The Lich King, Yog Saron, or Agalon he's small potatoes.

Oh, I'll doubtlessly play it for a while, at least until "Old Republic Online" comes out, but to me they should have just had a giant celestrial chain with a wrecking ball made out of a giant money bag knock everything over. That would summarize the point of this expansion far better than this cinematic would.

I'm one of the vocal minority that feels that the proper course probably would have been for Blizzard to give "World Of Warcraft" a decent send off, and then release "World Of Warcraft 2" sometime down the line after their upcoming new MMORPG. Be classy and pretty much stop taking subscriptions and end the game while they are ahead, rather than stretching everything out to drag every possible penny out of the thing until it's left as nothing but a withered, exploited husk, that even the last remaining fans can't appreciate very much when it finally hacks out it's last rasping gasp.

It's stuff like this that has me complaining about the corperate mentality, and how properties are made to suffer. I'll also be blunt in saying that Blizzard has so much stuff on it's table that I think they should be a lot more focused, and taking WoW off the table for a while while it's still thought of fondly, would let them invest those resources in their other projects.

This is just my thoughts and opinions though. Understand that I'm a long time WoW player. I've been an RPer (I play on an RP server), a PVPer, an ultra Hard Core raider (second guild to down Illidan on my server), a casual raider (now when I'm semi-retired), and everything in between. There is a point at which I have to say "give it a rest for a while". I mean cripes dude, we just took down a primal force of nature (The Lich King as the lord of the dead), a cross between a Lovecraftian elder god and Marvel's Nightmare (Yog Saron), and a version of Galactus known as Agalon who was sent to blow up the planet to prevent the escape of said lovecraftian terror by this universe's equivilent to The Forgotten Realm's "Lord Ao"...

Keeping this going and progressing in the levels is just going to get continually more retarded, and no... despite all the hype Deathwing is a pretty lame "next step". I mean cripes dude, we had a lesser boss that was right out of "Might and Magic"... a Bolo-like AI tank controlling orbital satellite based weapons!

Deathwing face is so similar to Hydralisk it actually is disappointing.
So pleased I wasn't the only one thinking that
Not really like that on the beta, but I certainly see your point guys (and agree).

I for one am super psyched for Cata now, the difference in the leveling is astounding, I actually care in a big way about the quest lines and their stories.

Whatever you think about Blizzard's games, its franchises, or its ridiculously slow development time, I think we can all agree on this: Blizzard's in-house cinematic department makes ridiculously cool pre-rendered cutscenes. I would gladly watch an entire full-length CGI movie from that team, but it would probably take over a decade to make.
I am sincerily starting to question your age or mental maturity <.<
I can agree on the very first WoW movie that had no story and just showed the races running around, but ever since TBC all the trailers have followed the same non-cool ridiculous path that only exists to make teenboys hard in their pants >.>

And no, whenever I think of Blizzard's games these day it's how they keep fucking over their franchises in order to only make money.
I wasn't aware "making awesome games" was "fucking over their franchises in order to only make money."

If you can't enjoy the awesome CGI cutscenes for what they are and accept that others like them for their technical skill and great cinematography, then I feel sorry for you. And I'm exactly twenty days older than you :p

In the half-second before i realized that this was a football game, I thought that i had stumbled across some sort of secret tournament of badassery.

OT: cool trailer, brought back some memories. though i don't understand why everything crumbles underneath him.

You could make the same argument for both. Why wasn't Arthas using the Scourge to mass-stomp face all the time rather than hold up on some island at the ass end of the world to wait for his destruction to come to him?

As for Deathwing, eh. He is obviously a one-entity weapon of mass destruction, but the thing about WMD's is they're not so good for cleanup. Yeah, you can dragon-nuke all the major hubs of civilization to completely wipe them off the face of the map, but how do you use a weapon like that to track down all the tiny pockets of survivors who escaped when they saw you coming? Kinda hard.

Deathwing's great for macro-murder, but when it comes to his micro, eh, he leaves something to be desired. After a point, being a flying fireball of death just loses its effectiveness.

Not the best Blizzard cinematic. I really, really like the Diablo 2 ones. Especially the Lord of Destruction intro.
