I am a WOW player, i play it everyday for about an hour or so.
I play it with my real life friends and i mainly play it as it is Fun. Well the grinding can get a bit boring but every now and then somthing will happen when your out and about which will cause you to colapse into giggles or smirk.

I can't understand the PVE servers, you can't randomly attack the enemy on those which is stupid. But there is somthing so satisfying about mind controling people off cliffs so they have to fix there armour.

i played wow for about 3 years, and i never concidered it a second job, and i played Alot (4 60s Pre-TBC and 5 70s Post-TBC), its still a game, no need for commitment unless you wanna go really far, which not alot of people do, i only did hardcore raiding before Burning Crusade came out, after that i did alot of different stuff

I enjoy WoW when I play, but I only play for one month a couple times a year. I have so many characters in the 20-30 range.

The WoW faithful are too busy playing to stop by and register their displeasure.
Only just joined the forums so I've missed all of those hate filled threads. "Hate"b is proabably to strong a word, but you know what i mean. There are some really good points, and some things that i haven't considered like Alotak's point about PVE servers. Thats where i tried out WoW. Does anyone think that makes a huge difference?

I played it for a while, and it was good fun while it lasted. I had a guild evening once a week to do instances, with a ventrillo server on. WoW may have its fair share of flaws, but it is a good game as well. And I like how colorful it is, and how many different areas they have made.

Face it, blizzard is good at finding a few gameplay elements, hone them into perfection, and let these be the core of the game. It is is what made all their previous games work. I have played Diablo, and those were, in the end, massive grind fests as well. But fun.

There is one thing to watch out for; the sense of accomplishment. People feel like they have accomplished something. It is what makes the game so addictive after all, and in a sense, fun to play. However, people need to remember that there is no accomplishment at all. When you shut down the game and throw out the disks, there is nothing left of it all. Except the fun times you may have had.

WoW is crack-cocaine and I've been clean since Feb.
I knew it, other people do believe that it's a drug, now that I've got off the WoW drug I might need to get off the real drugs that I had to use to actually enjoy the endless grinding.

I like WoW, and it is really fun when you play with other people, but I don't have the time to play it and I don't want to pay 13 euros every frigging month and (this should sound familiar for those who read my previous thread) my school network won't probably let me play on my laptop online. It also feels depressing when you haven't progressed a lot in a lot of time you've played and you feel like you're left behind. So this Summer I'm going to start a new character, who is going to be a gnome warlock and not a crappy night elf druid.

I used to play it, but then the bubble of happiness popped some time around when I realized that
the economy was destroyed, 'new' content is old mechanics with new names, in new combinations (oh, fire then adds, not adds then fire), and PvP battles lose all fun in the Arena.
