WoW login issues

So err im trying to log into WoW, and it wont get passed the "connecting" bit. Im just gonna assume that its because a lot of people are now trying to log in simultaneously, but i thought id ask just in case someone knew what was going on?

(side note, 37 minutes until cataclysm! )

Well, Cataclysm has officially 'launched' for me, like 25 minutes ago, been trying to log in ever since, for exactly the same reason...


I have no idea what's going on because Blizzard won't let anyone use the tech support forums...

Hopefully this is all resolved by the time the game hits Eastern Standard time. I'm just assuming the server traffic is insane and too many people are logging in at once.

First expansion I take it? This happens every time. At least a few million people all trying to log on at the same time and overwhelming Blizzards servers.

WOW probably wont be stable till late tomorrow at the earliest. That's why I'm in no rush to get back into WOW. Sure, I will eventually, but I can wait till I've change to spare and time to waste it with, by which time WOW will have calmed down some and the new content wont be so crowded as it inevitably will be during the first month or so.

I was only a day or two late to the Lich King party and things went smoothly for me.

Isn't it obvious? They need to update their servers so they can't have you log in.

Seems a bit late for that since they were shooting for the worldwide '12:01AM' release...

Possibly they could have punted people off the servers earlier and sorted it ahead of time?

I mean I was online no more than 30 minutes before the launch. Not a single thing happening then.

Well kinda the same problem everytime i try to log in it makes my computer crash and this has been happening for 2 days i called i got some bs response as usual idk what to do......
