I would highly recommend a different server. Lightbringer is PvE and the game loses a lot of it's charm if you dont have the dangers of World PvP.

Ohhh wait are you on US or EU servers?

Edit: Okay so EU servers. And I disagree you can get just as much out of a PvE realm as a PvP one. Some folks like the lack of over the shoulder nerves that being on a PvP server brings. And if the guys friends are on Lightbringer you can't really ask for a better experience. Knowing people and having people to play with makes any MMO worthwhile.

Also boy your links are way way out of date ^^. Check the link I gave you above those topics should contain up-to-date paladin builds.

Respecing costs are so low it almost doesn't matter where you put your points. In fact it doesn't matter.

Also your first link is way out of date. like 3 years.

'Start on a pvp server' is hardly good advice to give a brand new player. I completely agree that for someone who knows what they are doing leveling on a pvp server can be a really fun experience but when your just getting to grips with the game and you have a low level character the last thing you need is getting pancaked by level 80's every five minutes.

If I recall correctly...and this was 2 years ago since I played...prot pallies utilizing a shield spike and the talent/skill that does damage to whomever attacks you was the quickest way to level into the 40's. At least that's how I leveled...and it was good fun.

My only advice is to not get addicted to it. We've all seen what happens when people fall victim to it, cough cough. If you enjoy, great, but don't every second of your free time on it because it will consume you.

Other than that, have fun. :)
