You're hilarious.

Sorry if you're reading all the articles about stupid weak willed people and basing your opinion off that and that alone, but frankly thats a total joke. I'm sorry you don't like it but there are alot of WORSE *cough*, games out there. Someone who gets addicted to Warcraft to the point of death, is dragging down society anyway.

Oh and yes I play.
you spelled bashing and a lot wrong

I gotta admit, it was a little while before I stopped playing it that I stopped liking it... I still kept going for about a month after I should have stopped, but I would say thats more due to the people online that I was staying for rather than the game... Much as it does bring out a very obsessive side in some people I don't think its any worse than any other game for that sort of behavior.

Ok, WoW is not addictive... so shh on that subject.... and as for treating people for game addiction... mate thats been around for ages

http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6152141.html

Forgive me for sounding harsh but it seems you're taking a very narrow minded approach to a game which in its own rights it pretty awesome and quite entertaining.

Before you ask, no i don't play WoW, i used to but gave it up before college

I think we should do another section to this forum. It would be called "Games that are sins for humanity". We woudn't see any I hate "X game or franchise" in the game discussion anymore.

On the subject: You should change your topic to the name of "WoW and video game addiction".

Ah grammer problems they be eveywhere
there will be no grammer problems in GODZILLA Vs. Zombies 1&2 box set
I don't understand what the grammar issue is?
souldent it read worst game ever not worsed
Thats a spelling problem, grammar is, well, let me explain.

Normal sentence:

Hi I am a person

Wrong spelling:

Hi I am a presno

Wrong grammar:

Hi I are a person

You see?

There are no addictive properties to a game. There is nothing in the game that messes with your head causing you to crave more, it is not a drug. People just need to learn moderation. I'm on my second year of playing the game and can say that my grades are the same as they were before I started playing. I haven't lost any friends because of it, I've actually gained a whole lot. Sure, they live in other states, but they're still friends. You have friends on Xbox Live, or Steam, or Playstation Online, or whatever you play, don't you? Its the same way. WoW is a hobby of mine. I enjoy it. It gives me something to do in an utterly boring college life. I am sorry if some of your friends or even you were dumb enough to not know the meaning of moderation. That is your fault though, not the game. Way to scapegoat. Good job.

If WoW were anything it'd be a placebo.
Why?
Because the only people that get addicted are those who want to or allow themselves to be. I've played it, enjoyed it then put it down again, I may pick it up again one day, but I feel no particular compulsion to do so.

ive played WoW for 4 years, i got 6 chars at lvl 80, and im not addicted. i havent played wow for 3 weeks now. unlike the person who created this thread, who obviously cant even spell worst, have probably not tried it long enough to see how awesome the game is. people are always like "once you hit the level cap, ur getting bored very quickly." that is WRONG. infact, i found the game even more entertaining once i hitted the lvl cap. Why? because there is a crapload of things u can do.

Well as somebody who casually plays WoW (occasionally restarting my account just to fill a few empty hours), I'd just like to say that all of the morons out there who get completely addicted to the game and actually can't stop playing need to meet my good friend "willpower".

"Willpower is the governing attribute for Alteration, Destruction, and Restoration. It affects:

Regeneration rate of Magicka (see below).
Fatigue = Willpower + Agility + Endurance + Strength"

Or alternatively...

"self-control: the trait of resolutely controlling your own behavior"

Take your pick.

Basing: To BASE ones opinion off of a topic.
And go on, I'd love to see why you totally skipped over my points entirely even if I did overlook any of my spelling.

If WoW is so addictive and has so many players online theoretically wouldn't that make it one of the best games ever?

It is addictive yes, but calling it a drug is farfetched. It's a different kind of addiction. In drug addictions exposure to a drug begins to tell the body to want more of a particular drug and your brain starts to produce more receptors for the drug, causing the addiction. WoW and other things are different because they're more psyhcological than start receptor/action brain chemistry addictions.

It's not the worst game ever simply because people can be addicted to it, and its a rather large generalisation to call it that anyway.
