My dad despises World of Warcraft.

I want to install the trial on my laptop but it wanted my address. Why is that? Can I give a fake address?

Just give it your real address.

If Blizzard wanted your address, they'd get it themselves. It's not some kind of scam.

For billing purposes, in case you decide to buy the full thing. It's part of the credit card verification.

Sure you can but if you want to upgrade it to a proper account later I don't think that's worth doing. (Admitedly the trial doesn't take you far in the game, mind.)

I'm not worried about scams...I just want to make sure stuff isn't going to be sent to the house.

They won't send you anything. I've played for 4 years and received nothing, and nor have I heard of anyone else doing the same. If you enter your account into competitions you might get prizes sent if you win but I don't expect you'll be doing that.
