WoW looses over half of its subscribers, as month ago they had to close Chinese servers due to problems with law.
I guess that Aion will be the new big MMO after all.
but i guess with all the gold farmers gone the in-game economy would improve.
Well, we both've heard wrong.
Playing 5 hours a day, pre-updated (on Chinese servers), it would take one 2 months to get to level 50.
But since EU/US/Korea will have version 1.5, quests will give almost twice as much exp as they do now. This will basically halve the time it takes for a casual gamer to get to max level.
PvE might be generic, but people enjoy Aion because of PvP and PvPvE, where you have to watch out for both enemy factions... you never know, what will happen.
Elyos fighting against Balaur, then Asmodians dropping from above, defeating the enemies?
Asmodians and Elyos allying to defeat the Balaur, then one of the sides betrays the other?
Balaur deciding to help one of the sides? Remember, they are AI, so you can't really set this up.
So yeah, if you are JUST for PvE... Go to WoW and enjoy your grindfest.
