Cool I guess. I liked the first on enough, though I felt they squandered the video game setting.
...Really? How do you figure that? I think they did a rather good job with the setting, far better then just about any "Real" Video Game movie anyway.
Mostly I was disappointed with how much of the movie took place in CandyCrushRipoffLand.

Ahhhh, that's understandable so.
I remember that after the scene where Ralph gets his medal, he was meant to hang around a GTA/Sims verse for a while to live it up but it was cut for pacing reasons.

But yeah, I wouldn't mind if they even just made shorts with the characters in different settings and such.

can't wait for Ralph to walk onto the set of some modern military shooter covered in a white powder before looking around confused and asking "Why is everything covered in... Salt?"

Ok I am cool with a sequel though if it was stand alone that would of been fine. But the question that I want to know is is LubHub is Pornhub. Cause that is the feeling I am getting from it and what are they going to do with that.

Of course it is.

OT: Kinda a pipe dream but I'd love if they either have a "Mahvel Vs Capcom" reference or they do a fight scene in a traditional Fighting Game sense.
Considering Capcom got in on Wreck It Ralph 1 (Albeit too late for anything other then a few cameos) and Disney already owns Marvel, it's not that long of a shot. And it would be fun to see Ralph in a fighting game, considering how positively broken he (And Felix as well, now that I think about it) is.

-Also, the image. Anyone else getting a Tron flashback?
It would be insane if Disney didn't summon the spirit of Tron, considering the setting and who owns Tron.

Eh, the first one sucked, so hopefully it can be at least laughably bad this time.

Nah, everyone's got a right to an opinion. It's all cool.

You know, I approve of this, and I didn't exactly like the first film. It started out great, but they spent almost the entire movie in that candy kingdom, which I think squandered the unique potential inherent in the concept. I hope the sequel plays a bit more on and with the fact it's a movie franchise about video games. The tropes to riff on are near-endless, and I hope Disney realizes that.

Connected to the internet, eh? This can only mean one thing.

Ralph: *Punches clean through a candy wall*
Penelope: There was a door...
Ralph: Come on, we gotta move! They're coming!
Penelope: Huh? Wait, it's not the bugs again?!
Ralph: Worse! Mods.

And then Ralph was a zombie.

Is it just me, or does that picture have a reference to Pornhub (Lubhub) in a Disney children's cartoon? If it was parodying a different site, I can't think what it would be. The PC police are going to love that one....

Kind of funny if it is though.

*Edit* They probably will say it's Stubhub, but I'm not sure I buy that.

Surprised there isn't more fondness for Wreck It Ralph here. I thought it was one of the best animated features of recent years, and certainly one of the best since "Prime" Pixar was reigning ascendant. The milieu they've chosen should have a nearly bottomless supply of material for sequels, so the only real risk there is simple character fatigue, and a second film should be safe from that.

Hopefully they do a good job with it. Zootopia was fun but ultimately rather forgettable, so I'd want them to bring their A game for a Wreck It Ralph followup.

I'm sure everyone has their favourite among the recent non-musical Disney CG movies. I didn't really care much for Wreck-it Ralph or Big Hero 6, but I ended up liking Zootopia quite a bit despite the problems it had. And either way, Disney's actually cranking out some proper animated movies again.

As opposed to when they weren't making animated movies? What defines "proper" in this case?

The start of the 2000s hadn't exactly been kind to Disney, and it wasn't until Tangled (and arguably The Princess and the Frog) that they got their groove back.

Oh, I'm aware of the consensus that the 2000s weren't that kind to Disney's animated projects, but I wouldn't cite them as not being "proper."

Also heard the argument that it was actually Bolt that kickstarted Disney's revival, but I'll concede that the consensus is that it was either Tangled or Frog Princess that gets that kudos.

Piracy.
Seriously, this is the only thing I thought when I heared arcades and internet together.
Maybe our heroes will learn that Piracy isn't so bad after all.
I'd so watch it if it turns out that Denuvo is the main baddie, just to satisfy my biased loathing of it even though I buy all my games anyway.
