OK, so I've written a review of Shadow Planet and a few weeks ago, I pitched the review to Escapist. Unfortunately, I got no reply. Should I resubmit my pitch?
EDIT: Crap, disregard this post, just saw somebody else's review. Why didn't they reply to me? :(
Also, any idea where to take my review and get paid?

I'm almost positive that the people writing game reviews are normally regular employees for the Escapist, and not random people who just pitch reviews.

I'd try posting in the User Reviews section of the forums. That way you can find out what people think of your reviews.

...Which is exactly why I don't put mine there >.>

I take it Escapist only does reviews from employees? Well thanks, wish I knew that before... Any idea where to take my review and get money? I'm not a greedy guy, really, just want to return some results... I got ripped off at my last job. Anyhow, thanks guys.

That's regular video game journalism, and usually you have to work for free for a couple of years to build up a name for yourself and a CV before people would consider paying you.

That said, i remember reading here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/content/contact at the bottom it says they pay $250 dollars an article. If you don't do a video game review and write about something else then perhaps that's more what they're looking for.

I submitted an article proposal earlier today about the Call of Duty franchise, i hope that's more the material that they are looking for.

If you didn't get a reply, I didn't receive it. Our spam filters can be a bit overzealous sometimes. But as others have already mentioned, we're not looking for reviewers at the moment; all of our reviews are handled by in-house staff. We looking for freelancers to submit pitches for feature articles.
