i just saw on the news in my town a family just got all there christmas presents stolen 3 little kids just learned santa isnt real and now they dont have a christmas

But seriously, People do this shit all the time. Do you think they would stop just because it's Christmas? If anything, it would motivate them more because of all the expensive presents.

This is also nothing new, and not a sign of the times. Shit like this always happened. What you are missing is that it happened less when there where half as many people in the world. You also heard about it less because now all these odd disgusting stories float to the top of a sea of stories from around the world. Makes you think it is occurring more becasue hear about it more.
