Some anime is just like that unfortunately. Some have a lot of fanservice and still have a good story (e.g. Sekirei) and some are just really bad softcore porn (e.g. Ikkitousen). And then some are good with less fanservice (e.g. FMA, Outlaw Star). there is something out there for everyone. Just always do some research before watching a series, so that you know what you are getting yourself into.

You must be new to the world of "Anime that's actually not anime, it's basically hentai with some very minor censoring (making it technically ecchi) because we can make more money that way" stuff. Just avoid anything like this. For example, Seikon no Qwaser/Qwaser of Stigmata is an action anime where the main characters gain their powers by suckling the breasts of women (and drinking the milk, so, yes, they're producing milk). There is a tremendous amount of fetish fuel/marketability in this, in several things, such as the sadist loli character with a female slave, the suckling, the breast milk, etc.

Like I said, avoid it at all costs. I think I spend a fair amount of anime watching time trying instead to find anime to watch around the dribble.

Instead, look for (very, very) slightly more obscure but awesome stuff, like Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), which despite having it's fanservice moments, is excellent (I don't know about the second season). Also, look to older stuff, like the JoJo's Bizarre adventure OVA's (read the Manga. Do it), Hokuto no Ken (watch the anime and read the Manga. Do it), etc.

The very marketed stuff is meant for views and sales, not quality. Except for Bakemonogatari. That's awesome (and freaking weird).

(Obviously, I'm generalizing, as many excellent anime such as Death Note, Code Geass, and others, were heavily marketed, but you get the idea).

This goes for basically any form of media. There's always plenty of mainstream stuff that is made purely for marketability and sucks, and then there's those beautiful moments where something of high quality is also met with financial success, and then there's an ocean of obscure stuff that needs more love.

And as for what the OP watched, it looks like you watched something silly and highly sexualized. Enjoy it for what it is. A brilliantly told, captivating story is always great, but sometimes it's also nice to watch some mindless, retarded dribble because it's hilarious.

Queens Blade features an all female cast.It's like one of the selling points.
And I have only seen the first episode.And I liked it in a silly and perverted manner.

So there was some free anime for download on the PSN called Queen's Blade. Me liking anime when I was 11 (DBZ/Gundam) decided to give it a try. Hell. It was free after all.

The opening scene plays out like this: Huge titted woman A starts fight with huge titted woman B on a road while they're both wearing lingerie (apparantly lingerie and Double F cup boobs makes perfect warriors). Woman A has an attack that sprays acid...OUT OF HER TITS. Acid which only (forfuckssake)burns...away...clothes. God fucking dammit. Ok that was bullshit but I guess maybe that's ok?

BUT WAIT THE MODESTLY DRESSED PROPORTIONATE WOMAN COMES ON THE SCENE AND SAVES THE DAY!!!

Oh wait nevermind. Some third chick wearing nothing but essentially nipple cups and a g-string with boobs the size of Montana saves the day. Essentially rescuing girl A and doing the right thing and giving her rest and sending on her way.

OH WAIT I LIED AGAIN, SHE TIES ROPES AROUND HER TITS AND MAKES HER WALK BACK HOME AS HER SLAVE.

Now they're having some party which only allows girls with boobs bigger than their heads and lesbian tendencies.

Oh and by the way. It ended with another fight with girl A and B. Girl B defeated girl A by squeezing her so tight that her tits exploded.


Has anyone seen this bullshit? Does the voice acting ever improve? Do they ever put on clothes?


Am I the only one that seriously hates this shit. I've seen a few animes that I enjoy (Samurai Champloo/Cowboy Beebop) but this is seriously just god damned retarded. This isn't a hentai. If it was I could understand...sort of. But this is taking itself seriously.

tl;dr: What the fuck is wrong with anime and why is it all shit?


EDIT: I was not offended by this anime. It is an anime, not a game. I did not buy this. I have seen worse and laughed at it (La Blue Girl) but this just seemed so adamant on taking itself seriously that I felt like I had to share it. The post was meant as a funny story. The title was to draw people in. (but seriously Japan...wtf)

Queen's Blade was literally never designed to be good. It's creator, who has some decent work besides...this btw, just wanted to see how much ecchi he could get away with putting on the screen without being labeled hentai. As such, the show itself is nothing but breasts, lesbians and crappy fights involving the former two.
