WTF Nintendo. I can't re-download any of my Virtual Console/Wii Ware games?

Last time I owned a Wii, that's the exact thing I thought when I bought an SD cart especially for that purpose... Only to be disappointed by the fact I couldn't play them from the card and had to copy them back to the Wii itself.

Firmware 4.0 enables playing WiiWare and VC games from the SD.

No, you can't play "channels" from the SD card either, which means games purchased from the wiiware shit can't be played from an SD card.

Since the Wii doesn't have an actual account you can log into outside of the console it's saved on, you have no way to show it's you again. They let you get a new account code on the same Wii, but you can use one twice.

You did make sure to register your Nintendo account to your new wii right? It's your digital trail to all your VC and wiiware games. Check out Nintendo's membership website here.

Log-in and make sure that you have the right account and then register that username with your wii.

Apparently not, the wii I have is brand new and has all the updates and it can't.

Then you didn't unlink your account from your previous wii and should call Nintendo customer care to try and resolve the problem. If they can't help you then sorry mate, either you didn't even bother creating a nintendo account to secure your purchases and thus screwed.

Turns out I did it wrong and now I got my acct linked up to club nintendo and i saw all my purchases..Now .. How do i Re download them?

I had Homebrew for like a Week and got rid of it. Didn't affect me.

I don't even know what homebrew is, this wii is literally brand new, this is only my third day having it. So yeah, I don't know what the fuck is up. It doesn't bother me too much since I hate using the wii's online anyway, but it's mildly annoying

Then contact Nintendo about it. That is too weird.
