So the story starts out, the WWE Champion was asked on Twitter who he'd like to fight for real and he said Chris Brown, to teach that woman beater a lesson. A passing comment. Well brown responded with this:

So after TMZ picked up the story, Punk shot back:

and that was pretty much it. Till this retard, Shawn Merriman, posted this stupid drunk rant on twitter attacking Punk because Punk hurt his friends feelings:

F**k C.M. Punk, he?s still a punk forever in my book. I?m sure my supporters feel the same way? And WWE, I ain?t hosting y?all new network until somebody whoop C.M. Punk cuz he?s a p$ssy.

Serious, who the f**k is C.M. Punk other than a soft butt?wrestling gone soft f off? If god is my witness, C.M. Punk was wearing a thong laying by the pool tanning his cheeks in Costa Rica, now tell me I?m lying? C.M. Punk wants no part of Lights, trust me?

And WWE, I ain?t hoting sh#t until C.M. is dethroned? I ain?t a hater at all, but if you like dudes tanning by the pool (in) a thong that?s cool. I think he had pillows under his stomach.

Is this the type of human being the NFL wants playing in their league? The type of person that can't express their displeasure maturely instead just resorting to calling Punk gay?

Also according to wikipedia this Merriman fellow has a history of beating women as well. Birds a feather and all that.

Huh, for a second there I thought you were going to compare the two for some cockamamie reason...
1: Chris Brown can't even spell his "fave" wrestler's names right. While on the internet...
Where he could have easily google'd them...

2: Most of those dudes think that Chris Brown is a prick. Especially Piper.

3: I'm glad I don't follow Football, otherwise I might I feel some tinge of disappointment at Merriman's comments. A player's personal life is their own business, but if I were a fan, I bet that I'd feel somehow motivated to show my disapproval. Again, I'm not a fan, so I really don't how to feel about this. As of now, ambivalent. Drunks are Drunks. They say stupid things on twitter. Like most drunken rambling, it means nothing.

Oh, and since you asked (kind of)

Fans of pro wrestling, as per several studies, tend to skew Left/Democrat along with fans of the NBA and WNBA. Fans of College and Professional Football tend to skew Right/Republican.
Albeit, wrestling fans have a lower voting rate.

Pro wrestling is season-less, and can go year 'round.
While we're at it, pro wrestling has a greater international fan base, what with it being the 2nd most watched sport in Mexico behind association football with a large fan base Japan as well. North American football, while present on the international stage, hasn't really thrived anywhere but the USA.
Besides, the highest rating for any wrestling program in the world come from India, for Ring Ka King on Colours TV.

Yeah, I think I'll take the side that doesn't beat up women. At least that side has some talent.

I've not seen that video before so thank you for posting it.
The 'winner' of any internet-fight (If there is such a thing) is the one to keep calm and not throw stupid insults like "Who is he anyway" around. CM Punk got his point across calmly and accurately stating his problems.

Plus Chris Brown beats women, he deserves way worse than what he has.

I too miss real wrestlers, like Nikolai Volkoff, Andre the Giant, and George "The Animal" Steele. Ahhh George there will never again be a character like that in wrestling.

First of all, I love how Chris Brown loves those older wrestlers so much that he doesn't even know how to spell their names. Secondly, when you intentionally beat a woman, you waiver all right to put up any resemblance of a defense when the aforementioned subject comes up. Thirdly, CM Punk is actually one of the few individuals in wrestling that has a personality and actual athletic skills today and I'm pretty certain he'd knock Chris out in milliseconds. Though I agree overall that the WWE kinda sucks now. Lastly, Merriman is by far the minority in the NFL. Many american football players use their sport as a platform to help others through charities, fundraising, donations, speaking appearances, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Play 60 campaign to get kids to get outside, exercise, eat healthy, and the like.

Merriman is an individual that has been suspended and fined on multiple occasions. A sad case of huge talent gone to waste because of a shit personality (and to a lesser extent, injuries). He's been slapped on the wrist many times via suspensions and fines, and because of that and injuries, is a shell of his former self and it's very likely you'll never see him in an NFL uniform again. So yea, that's not typically the kind of person that plays in the NFL. Just like it's not the type of person you typically find in congress, or working at the post office, at the grocery store, or any other job, but they still pop up in every profession. And just like those, it has gone far from unpunished.
