While there is already a game of this kind slated for release this summer("To End All Wars", by Kuju's Chemistry department), the fact that there's so little info about the game worries me.Saskwach said:Something about trench warfare has gotten me excited. It doesn't make sense.
Regardless, I'd like everyone's opinion about a WWI shooting game. I think that such a game would make an excellent tactical FPS with a dash of horror mixed in.
Since the only kind of single-man gun is the bolt-action rifle with a 5-second space between shots, you'd have to make sure you dispense with your biggest threat with each bullet. And the absolute terror of seeing a flamethrower crew headed your way makes it critical that you TAKE THEM OUT!
Of course, there's a bit of satisfaction when you actually hit the fuel tank for the flamethrower causing the two man crew engufled in a ball of fire, or hurling a grenade at a machine gunner and watch it explode, or hopping down into an enemy trench to devistate everyone in it...
Yeah, I think a WWI shooter would work. ;}
