I just got finished whatching this movie, and I thought it was good, not great pre se, but good none the less. I know a couple people were mad at Gambit's potrayal, but I really had little interest in him. I was utterly astounded when they came to Deadpool though.

I was under the assumption that Ryan Reynolds would be playing this role, and early on it seemed so. In the beginning I was think "Sweet, they have almot exactly nailed Deadpool," but then later in the movie, the end to be exact. This werid creation showed up and they claimed him to be Deadpool. Now I don't know Deadpool by heart, but I'm pretty sure he didn't shoot lazers from his eyes, have katanas extend from his knuckles like wolverine, and he was controlled by a computer. At that point I was like "Ok this guy is badass, but he's not Deadpool."

I leave with this though, I have hope. Because the orginal Deadpool was mentally insane, if you were controlled by a computer, wouldn't you be a little fruity after word? The computer may have controlled the katanas and lazers, so he could lose those abilities. They did scar his face up decently, so he will need that mask of his. So maybe, just maybe, if they make a Deadpool spin-off, we could have the insanly funny anti-hero we all know and love. By the way, if you didn't stay till after the credits, he lived, he grabs his head and he says "Shh." So yes they can make a spin-off if they want to, and they do.

They missed the mark by a freaking mile on characters in this movie. Gambit looked like he was out of high school musical, and deadpool didn't portray what he was in the comics at all. I figured they had him right too, when they showed Ryan Reynolds being all smarmy and badass, then they decided to get drunk and write the rest of the characters. Poor movie and not worth the admission price, and I think they should stop making Xmen movies altogether now that their track record holds only 50% good movies, and 50% godawful movies.

I've been a huge fan of the deadpool character since Marvel released it. The Reynolds portrayal was ok, though it lacked the true soul of the character (breaking the 4th wall) mixed with pointless insanity. In the Hulk vs Wolverine animated film that was done, the deadpool parts were perfect ... in fact so perfect that here it is

personally i thought it was another turd movie. Polish a turd it's still a turd. Yes the deadpool thing pissed me off but thats not what killed it. What killed it is that theres another wolverine movie that recently came out that I thought was a ****-ton better. Hulk vs. Wolverine. Ya, i thought that was a better movie than this, for a lot of reasons, mostly cause i thought the acting in the HvW movie was alot better.

btw, proof that deadpool is supposed to be funny http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/303039.html

Infuriating wasn't it. Stupid fan videos with the clips overdubbed with "Hard Core" music. If they were going to do that sort of crap properly, I'd recommend a death metal sound track for both of em *sage nod*

I hope that if they make a Deadpool movie, he breaks the fourth wall a few times. Seriously, that's his power in my books.

i hate the fact that most of the good stuff on youtube is being taken off because of copyright claims. what happened to the good old days when you could watch entire movies on youtube instead of having to go pay 10$ to see the turd?

Hey, Marvel noob here!

I hadn't read any of the comics or movies before i saw Origins, but what I DID see was what Shadowstriker here also saw - Hulk Vs Wolverine. It was my very first exposure to Deadpool, and I loved the character.
The friend that I went to see Origins with said we'd get to see Deadpool, so I was looking forward to how they portrayed him. Unfortunately, the witty, quick-talking Deadpool I knew was replaced by Baraka of MK fame, so that was a little disappointing. Downing the chimney with a severed head WAS awesome though, I admit. Maybe he would've cracked some fun jokes if his mouth wasn't sealed.

Also, being the Marvel noob, I didn't know much about Gambit before seeing the movie. I thought he was portrayed as a pretty cool character, myself.

As for the actual movie: it wasn't excellent, brain blowing or totally amazing - but I liked it! I liked the action, the jokes, the everything. It did what movies set out to do - entertain. I was entertained throughout, so it obviously did its job well for me!

And WHY THE HELL would adamintine bullets be able to penetrate wolverines skull just because they are made out of adamantine? That bothered the hell out of me.

From the perspective of someone who really knows very little of Marvel comics, I rather liked it. I mean, even if Deadpool wasn't meant to be like that, he's frickin cool in the film.

Don't they say something like diamonds cannot be cut, unless you use another diamond? Maybe they just ran with that logic - adamantite bones can't be punctured, unless you use adamantite bullets.

Yes but unless they somehow managed to make those bullets go at some silly speed it doesn't matter what matter the bullets are made out of.

WAIT I HAVE AN IDEA OF HOW A DEADPOOL MOVIE COULD BE GOOD!!!

Deadpool is mentally scarred from weapon X making him into a computer, BUT he breaks the fourth wall and says he is also mentally scarred from being in a piss poor X-men movie

I was working on the basis that since Hugh Jackman is the only part of the previous X-Men films that remained for XMO:W we would get a whole new spin off with a totally different take. Like a good one. With more Bryan Cox. And snow.
