I'm going to need a larger truck to get all the salt I'm going to take this rumor with. "Not play used games"... something like that would go over absolutely terribly.

You've got to admit though, it would be interesting to see how people would react if something like this were implemented for consoles. I sure as heck wouldn't bother with it. I'd probably just go and experience the console generation I decided to mostly skip over and get more bang for my buck.

But of course, I'm willing to believe Microsoft's decision makers are not that crazy, so whatever. Interesting thing to think about though.
