Oblivion plain and simple, it's a great RPG. Also if you care for JRPGs pick up Tales of Vesperia it's awesome as well, just saying

I'd have to go oblivion. For sheer size and depth, the amount of quests are huge and the ability to enchant your own weapons and make your own spells (eventually)is a great addition. + its the first game i played for more then 100 hours. It also has the vocal talents of Sean Bean and Patrick stewart (006 and captin picard in one place)

I have to go with Mass Effect, Fable 2, and Fallout 3. I hated Oblivion, and I don't like JRPGs, particularly all of the turn-based shit that has come out in the last year.

i'd get lost odyssey. it's awesome. though if you don't like JRPGs i wouldn't bother
