Send it in to Microsoft... don't get an arcade model. At the very least get a pro and use your old hard drive.

They don't sell 'em any more.

QFT, that's what I did when my xbox broke and microsoft wouldn't repair it for free because I hadn't had the rrod.
what the hell is that all about anyway? you can expect it to work for two years, but if you get the rrod you can expect it to work for three?
sounds like somebody needs to reconsider their warranty logic.
I sold all my xbox games, got a few for the ps3 and now i'm happy again. the only exclusive I'll miss is mass effect 2, but I can play ratchet and clank again so who cares:p

Just get an Xbox 360 Arcade and put the hard drive on it. Or you can check to see if it's under warranty and get it replaced or fixed.

send it to MS to get it fixed unless your warrenty expired incase of that I suggest something similair (the arcade doesnt support HDMI if you have that)

Send it in. Even if the warranty is up you have a statutory right to a free repair, assuming you didn't do something to break it and you bought it less than five years ago. If they can't repair it, they have to replace it. If the customer support person doesn't know what your rights are, have them transfer you to someone who does.
