Xbox Live Achievement Points: what's your view on them?

I don't care about gamer score, or achievement points, in any view, WoW, XBox, whatever, it does'nt give me a bonus, I can't use it to buy things on XBL, it's just a number for others to say they are better at games than you, when they've just gone to get the numbers. I have a friend who goes on and on about his high Gamer Score and how much better he is than me, then when I ask if he ENJOYED the game to get the gamer score he sayd, "No, I just played it to get more achievement points!" thats a head scratcher, why play a game you don't like just to go 'LOOK HOW GOOD AT GAMES I AM!'.

Dump it I say, or otherwise don't go shouting from the roof tops how good you are at games because you have a big number, I don't care.

I hate when people do this, having a higher gamerscore than someone and being better than them at video games have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Not a fan, I don't like that it shows up on your profile as just one score lumped together regardless of whether you have 1000 really easy achievements, or 100 really hard ones. Prefer trophies in that sense, where it splits it up and shows how many of the different types of trophies you've got.
