Ok, first things first. I live in Norway, I was born here. I got my xBox in Norway, I connected to Live in Norway, but for some reason or another, when i tried to get xBox live by using a prepaid card I got this problem.
It needed me to fill in my billing information, which got screwed when it said my Postal code didnt work. I quickly found out that for some reason my Live account was listed as being in the UK. huh, strange. Guess I have to my country to Norway then.
Problem is. That is not possible. I tried changing the locale setting on the xBox itself, didn`t work. Tried googling around and found out that shit hits the fan when you join up and use your hotmail. It for soem reasen then uses the Hotmails registered country as the coutnry to be logged as. fuck. Guess my hotmail was set on UK, but the fuck? what about checking the IP, where the xBox is bought or whatever. btw changing the hotmail afterwards wouldn`t help at all
So then i tried to contact microsoft to help me out. Because I DID find a country migration option. This one here:

and as it says. "Thou areth only allowed to changeth to thee lands of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Russia and South Africa!" Ok, what? I guess I could accept Norway not being on the allowed list of coutnries you can move to but, No Germany? what about France then? OR THE USA!?!?!
So I sent a support ticket in. They only forwarded me towards the page I linked in here.
AND THUS I TURN TOWARDS MY FELLOW ESCAPISTS!
