I'm relatively certain I'm going to be the only one thinking this but here it goes...

I like this.
Oh no, I agree. There might be chance in hell I'll buy it, now, as long as the best games don't magically become Kinect-bound exclusives.

I am more interested now, though. Stupid Killer Instinct, playing on my love for massive, stupid combos and 90's Nostalgia...
Would you wish for me to kill that Nostalgia for you? The game is free-to-play, but you have to buy each of the characters for one, and you only start off with one character as well. You can buy each character individually or you can buy them all at once in one big pack.

How is it immersion breaking? Making callouts and saying orders would probably make people more immersed since they're controlling the game with their voice.
But surely that could be done with a microphone instead of a $100 peripheral?
I suppose it could come to think of it. Not sure what else to say.

I wasn't one of those people who were bothered by this news. Because I am one of those people who plays only 3 to the very most 5 characters. If I could get the same experience playing Killer Instinct and against all those characters I have no interest in learning for fifteen bucks, that's great for me.

I'm glad... But you don't sell a console on the basis of what it doesn't do. So what it's heading towards right now is being a PS4 with different exclusives, a $100 higher price tag (unless and until they sell a version which ditches the Kinect all together), and slower memory, 3 GB of which are permanently allocated to something other than games whether you choose to use those features or not.

Oh, and no headset, as Game Informer saw fit to point out.

...Can I just say that that's a lot of pressure to be putting on Respawn and Harmonix...?

How anyone can trust Microsoft anymore is beyond me. First, it was the Windows 8 fiasco. Then, it was the XBOX One DRM. Then, we learn that they've been helping the NSA.
You mean helping the NSA as in providing limited information as a result of requests they are legally obligated to respond to, just like Google, Facebook, Yahoo end like a dozen other companies whose services you use everyday? You make it sound like Microsoft had a choice in the matter, or that their interaction with the NSA is anymore noteworthy than that of virtually any other major tech company caught up in this mess.

It's nice to see a company react to it's users demands and I for one will be getting the next xbox. While I understand certain peoples negative opinions I can't help but feel some people just want to hate the xbox no matter what, even if they gave it away for free they'd still find a way to complain.

Look people, you can't complain nonstop and start campaigns to get something changed and then say, "Well too bad sucker, we still aren't buying it," once they do everything you ask. A few months ago your arguments sounded like legitimate complaints, but now it just sounds like you enjoy complaining about shit.

Personally, the Xbox exclusives interested me far more than Sony's exclusives. If there's a cheaper Kinect free version of the Xbox One, the system looks much more desirable to me

The unboxing video shows they included a headset.
You're right, my error.

Though it has to be said that Microsoft changing their minds on so many issues isn't helping anyone keep a firm idea of what they're getting. If even M's own people are having a tough time relating the hardware specifications, inclusions, and policies to the public in firm and consistent terms- what are the chances a typical would-be system purchaser is up to speed?
