Also, can someone explain the logic to me? In order to meet the demand, they've reduced the number of people to whom the the console will be available? And that makes sense?
Makes perfect sense, there is no demand, so they have adjusted to compensate. They don't want to be sat on a few million unsold Stock Keeping Units the way Nintendo was with the Gamecube (and is again with the Wii U).

They are meeting demand, but probably not in the direction they hoped.

Getting real tired of your shit, Microsoft. You know what? Do us all a favor, and cut United States out of that list. We. Don't. Want. It. ANYMORE!

"We understand this will be disappointing news for our fans..."
Wait, Xbox still has fans?

No but seriously Microsoft just keeps shooting itself in the foot while Playstation sits back and does nothing. My Lord.

One that note I would like to bestow the Xbox one a new pet name: The Xbox 0.1, because it's only coming out in one tenth of the region of its predecessor.

And they just got rid of the Kinect requirement.

One step forward and 2 steps back...
shoot yourself in the foot and bandage the wounds...

microsoft's little dance of failure doesn't appear to be ending, even though they try.

Well it's still being launched in all 21 countries, but some of them will have to help. But Microsoft is not doing this to piss people off, if they were able to beat PS4 to the launch they bloody would.

Hope you aren't serious.

Pre-orders would indicate that people in the US do indeed want the Xbox One. Quite a lot actually. And why wouldn't they? It's a great console which really can do just about everything the PS4 can.

By all fair measurements, those are totally equal systems in their value proposition. So let's just skip the whole "Oh xbone suckz" mentality because it's getting a bit old.

As a member of an affected country I am deeply offended by this policy. How come Norway doesn't have to deal with this piece of junk and we do. I demand no Xbox release for Canada. We should all be treated equal.
You win the internet.

Seriously though, I want to be a fly on the wall of some of their meetings. What on earth are they doing? Are they panicking yet, or are they just sort of blundering through all this controversy?

That's kind of ? sad. Then again, I don't really know what the new Xbox actually is these days through all of the misinformation.

Huh. I remembered it wasn't coming out in Eastern Europe at all since they chip the consoles and pirate so much there, but I spy Russia on the list. Oh well. As a Swede this doesn't bother me. Wasn't going for this console anyways.

ITT: Everyone gets ticked off at Microsoft for having technical difficulties.
To be ticked off people would have to want an Xbox One in the first place, and in this thread I see no one wanting the Xbox One.
No what you're actually reading is people laughing at how bad Microsoft is handling their brand new system launch coming in 3 months.
And "technical issues" is a very polite way of saying the system is frying it's insides and not understanding people who speak "non-American".

Huh....didn't anyone teach Microsoft that once you have had bad press once, that you should try to fix that one and make sure you don't get any more? Cause it's really starting to look like that Microsoft just fails at not making bad news out of the X-box One. Like seriously, I don't think we've gotten any good news out of the damn thing, or my memory is a dat bit dull when it comes to the X-box One.
The trouble is that they released all their bad press has one giant blob monsters, that just kept on growing on his own, until they finally started fighting it, trouble it too big to fight in one battle anymore. =p

Damn, Australia's still on that list.

Fuck off, with your netflix that we can't use and skype which we can use on our computers and your ridiculous amount of ads.

I'm not even sure what to say at this point. When I imagine Microsoft HQ I see a bunch of fish desperately flopping around to get back in that water bucket, then knocking it over.

So basically Microsoft can become a huge metaphor to the huge blob monster that was the main villain in the first Epic Mickey game then?
Welp, good to know that's settled. XD

Hilarious that Microsoft is effectively handing over ALL the Christmas sales to Sony. I live in Sweden and when I posted this piece of news on Facebook the few friends I had who were going to get an Xbone said that they're getting a PS4 instead now.
