xcom: fail?

There was already an X-Com FPS, and it was incredibly awful.

At best this new game will be an fps with aliens in it with the name slapped on it, but doesn't actually have much of anything to do with the original game.

I don't really have any nostalgia-tinged memories of it though, I just happened to buy the X-Com bundle on Steam while it was on sale 6 or something months ago. The first one was alright but not amazing or anything.

I plan to check out the new shooter X-Com as if it were named something else. I am not going to actually associate it with the original and will just it completely based off of what it tries to do and what it succeed or fails in respectively.
