Just bought it on Steam a few days ago, still have to play it. Installed the Open-Xcom mod, all i know is that i love XCom 2 from firaxis but not so sure in what points the original xcom excels.

Got it and learned there is no tutorial so it is hard but once I learn everything I should be alright. Just learned Steam has the manual so that should help immensely. In my first game I made two big mistakes. Firstly I built my base in the middle of nowhere in Africa far from any country I needed to defend. Secondly I sent my unarmed skyranger full of 8 men to shoot down the first two UFOs because I didn't know which aircraft I was sending out and thought it was an interceptor.
