I read a review and I'm far too pumped. I heard people taking upwards of 100 hours to beat this game.

Man, I wish I could call myself part of Operation Rainfall now...Always told myself I'd mail a letter but never got around to it.

Whatever. I'm voting with my wallet. I'll take motherfucking two, Nintendo. THANK YOU OPERATION RAINFALL AND THANK YOU NINTENDO OF AMERICA!

I never mailed any letters either, but I was lucky enough to live in Australia so I could order a British copy off the Internet. Now all we have to do is wait and see how many people buy it on launch...We know it's a bestseller in Europe, so let's hope the US consumers can match them. Otherwise, this will really have been a waste of time...

Well this is some pleasant news.

I'm British so I already have the game, still need to finish it.

Mini review

It's an enjoyable game. the combat system is fun, the voice acting is good not great with most of the problems being the repeated battle dialogue you will here "REYN TIME" in your sleep but it does help your time feel like they're enjoying fighting together a lot. Where the combat really shines is in the legendary Monado wielded by main character Shulk which grants visions of the future -a LOT of the plot revolves around this- during combat the screen will lose colour and you'll be forced to see one of your party members hit with a devastating attack, after this vision you need to do something to stop the damage being done. The panicky feeling of knowing that a team member is about to get killed in the next 10 seconds unless you do something keeps the combat at a nice high tension.

The environments are nice and large what I really like is the fact that there are high level enemies roaming around you can run afoul of a level 80 monster at level 15 these guys add some nice flavour to the background.

The story starts as a simple tale of man vs machine the Mechon are regularly attacking the humans(homs) and your quest begins when tragedy befalls your home. I like how Shulks reason for his grand adventure is fuelled more by revenge than the crystals say you have a destiny. i need to finish the game for a true review of the story.

The characters are a diverse bunch you have the well meaning strong but clumsy best friend, the too cool to be the main character big brother figure, the leader of a group of people who wield magic, the cute critter who is the hero of his people and many more. the problem with the characters is that we have seen them before but they still are enjoyable to work with.

I could go into more detail about skill links, crafting and side quests but I simply don't have the time

Xenoblade is definitely worth having a look at.

The game is quite possibly the best RPG (J or W) of the generation. Glad you lot across the pond will finally be able to play it without having to import from over here.

I was going to say "Er, if the USA gets something usually we do" but then I re-read the article and saw it said USA only. That's fucking idiotic of Nintendo. Hell, give us the Europe version so at least colour is spelled right.

Screw this, I'm importing. Only thing that stopped me from getting it was getting around the blasted region lock, and now that it's fixed...

EDIT: Hmm, NOA's twitter said it's coming to North America? Damn it, be consistent!

Seems as if it's coming to North America, but will only be sold at gamestop, so if you have one of those seems you can pick it up.
It seems as if i say seems far too much.

That's awesome! I can't wait to play this! Do we know if we're also getting the other Operation Rainfall games as of now?
