Hi all, just here to shamelessly plug my two-part homage to two of my review heroes. One, obviously being Yahtzee, the other being Armake21 (of Youtube fame). Created out of boredom, Glorious Review is more of a dedication than a rip-off, with the first part outlining Activision's abyssmal Soldier of Fortune: Payback, echoing Yahtzee's fast-paced review style, while also infused with my own critical flair.

Oh, just a note to say that I'm Chinese/Australian, I am not putting on the accent to mimick Yahtzee in any way. And, apologies for a few Australian references which international viewers might not understand.

Yahtzee, if you're reading, this is for keeping me entertained for the last year. It's my first go at something like this and it *is* hard work, so I can sympathise.

I'm currently working on the second part, where I will be working through some of the gameplay with running commentary, much like Armake21.

A free beer goes out to the first person who can spot all the references to Yahtzee and Armake21 in this episode. Offer valid until 26/1/08. Happy hunting!

Edit: An early warning to all Aussies who don't know about SOF:p. A censored version is gonna be released Downunder without the dismemberment, so don't bother. It's like spending $60 on a *pretty bad* pizza with no topping.

I liked the zoom-in on "Payback." I also like some of the pictures you used.

But some of the pictures didn't make a whole lot of sense. Also, your accent isn't really suited to talking very fast into a mic. Yahtzee's is, but you'll have to go a little bit slower, so you can annunciate everything.

I agree with REDPill. Some of it was actualy rather funny, but you need to make sure you talk slower and try to scrolls the pictures a little slower.

But good job!

edit: your logo was quite cool actualy.

Hey cheers guys. The fast-talking thing is obviously a nod to Yahtzee, I tried really hard but still couldn't do it properly, only Yahtzee is the master. Not to worry. In the next episode you'll hear me loud and clear, cursing my brains out, Armake21-style, at the frustrating gameplay. Stay tuned!

Less pictures. You really need less pictures. Coming up with a new image for every other word is not good.

Otherwise, not bad. It sounds like the next one will be more suited to your style, so good luck with that.

Indeed. No chance to see it.

I wish I could have, but simply from the comments, I'd say as a general caution: Don't be someone else. We have Yahtzee to be Yahtzee and that other guy to be... whoever the hell he is. Be funny in your own way, as any imitation will only see a short lived popularity.
