Yahtzee Leaving the Escapist/Reviewing?

I think people are getting hysterical over nothing. Just because something is happening Friday doesn't mean Yahtzee is going to leave. One person gets jittery, a rumour starts, and then all hell breaks loose. Lighten up, people.

Would I miss Yahtzee? Sure, though while still entertaining I don't find him as funny as I used to. I don't really think he'd leave though. If he has too much on his plate he may just drop doing a weekly series. I think he'd survive doing a bi-weekly or even a monthly series. Whatever. It's his life and we don't control him, as he's stated many, many, many times.

Three years of providing entertainment to the unwashed masses have opened many doors to Yahtzee. He has written a novel, opened a bar and has an interesting future ahead of him. Doing video game reviews, while fun and interesting, can become more of a chore than anything else.

I hope that I'm just being pessimistic, and that Yahtzee will not be leaving the Escapist or reviewing in general. However, should he decide to pursue other avenues, I will be in full support of his ambitions.

Don't ever make posts like this, it is very misinforming and may cause hysteria.

How is an opinion misinforming? I did not present it as such. In fact, I made it abundantly clear that it would make sense if he is leaving the Escapist, given the potential future he has carved out for himself.

i think it's the way you said it, as if you're alluding to some previous conversation or message that we are not aware of. just a little misleading and it didn't sound like an opinion.

I thought he was actually leaving and cried. Not really but anyway I hope he won't leave because I'm sure at least 15% of this websites viewers are for ZP only. I came here for Zero Punctuation. I stayed for There Will Be Brawl and Doomsday Arcade. Now I'm staying because the community is great and I enjoy it here.

That was likely a response to Moviebob's review of Other M, which is hosted by Screw Attack, or he could be making a switch, or he could be working on his version of Cammy's Cannon Drill.
