so he decides to just insult everything and act like a prick.
Have you ever seen a Zero Punctuation?

Honestly, that is what I have been finding funny about it

1) ANY comedian, if you watch them long enough, is going to come down to a certain "formula." And as you learn that formula, its impact decreases. That doesn't mean the quality is going down, it just means your "tolerance" has increased. You're more used to his jokes, so there's not as much of the "Oh, no, he di-in't!" factor.

2) ANY critic will tend to favor faults over features. For one, praising a games good qualities doesn't do much that commercials don't already do--"great" reviews simply aren't as informative as those that deal with the game's shortcomings. For two, critics tend to get better press when they are funny or clever, both of which are easier to accomplish when INSULTING a game. So, yes, he's going to insult everything.

3) Neither of these is a problem. New viewers are coming in every week, and to THEM, it's not "old hat." They've got a responsibility to provide things for new members, too, not just the same-old, same-old folks. It's the only way to grow the viewerbase (and thus potentially increase ad revenue).

4) Odds are that most of us, when we first found out about ZP, went back and watched a bajillion old episodes all in a row--because many of us weren't there for the beginning. Watching a whole bunch of episodes one after another gives you the chance to find some great "hits" and overlook a few of the "misses" that always happen. After a year or so of NEW episodes, you get one per week... so you tend to notice the "misses" more. It doesn't mean they happen more often.

In the end, the more likely conclusion is that you're burnt out on Yahtzee. And we've all been there, I'm sure. Take a break for awhile, let some more games come out.

Really? They're just as averagely funny as ever. He needs a different show, because I think he's funnier when he doesn't have to simply come up with a new way to complain about things every week.
We should ask him to do a standup comedy act and record it. He'd knock the house dead.

The dick jokes are a little sophmoric but then this forum is that way generally. If I want dick jokes I'll go listen to those two 60 year old high schoolers Bob and Tom.
I LOVE Bob and Tom. We get their show here in Louisville, and when I get up early enough I listen to it.

In my opinion Yahtzee is the best thing that hapened to game reviews " eva' ".
Yeah some of the humor does not feel the same, but still it's vrey funny and he actualy said it he's a critic, and he mostly criticizes the games not just sais things to make you/me laugh.
THough Just Cause 2 ......that episode ill never forget.
Quote: "The Gravity defying warlock Rico Rodrigues"
or "Just Cause 2 just hops aboard Leppercaun flight 101 and flies of the dark side of Mars"
Or the thing where he keeps repeating "Just Cause..."in a sarcastic manner.

Yahtzee dutifully recognises that he hasn't been living up to YOUR standards.

From now on, he's going to try extra hard just to please YOU, an anonymous whiny self-important fan who thinks everyone should cater to him.

Are you happy now? /rant

I think he's funny as he's ever been, it's just that his humour doesn't hit as much when you watch it week after week.
It's still entertaining, just not as funny. There's also everything going on with his Mana Bar and stuff, so maybe he doesn't have as much time to work on it as he used to.

It is free, you therefore have no right to complain.
That's not exactly how it works, just because something is free doesn't make it immune to all critisism (and doesn't mean that people can't suggest improvements or have opinions), in my opinion, the OP sort of has a point and sort of doesn't (I'm on the fence).

Any series or production that goes on for a long time (and sticks to a particular style) will begin to seem repetative and boring to some, especially when it comes to humour (for examples, look at Little Britain/the Fast Show), it's natural that some members of the fandom will want more (and demand changes of direction or style) while others will demand that it stay the same (and view any changes to their show as evidence of it going downhill).

Overall, you can't please fans, so the best Yahtzee can do is try to make something he's satisfied with (given his usual egotistical nature, I'm sure he's already doing that).

I haven't found a reveiw funny since "Super Mario Galaxy 2" but that was a mere 3 videos ago so I'm assuming its a rough patch like his gone though before (such as the poor Irish and Ryming episodes), it'll pass, it does seem to depend on the game.

He hasnt been lacking..... I have!

I own none of these games and therefore can not chuckle at what he says is true.

while your point may be valid, my point is that, since you are not paying for the service of watching the videos. Xbox Live users pay for that service, and so when a bug or something happens to annoy users, they can complain for they expect the best out of something they are paying for. An online video series that posts for free can be delivered however the poster (Yahtzee) would like. The viewers may complain amongst themselves but the author has no obligation to change.

Your point is true though, in no way am I saying you are wrong, he may choose to change to keep his viewers and that is great. But my argument is that he does not need too.
