Fuck yeah! More ReBoot! I loved that show - now here's hoping they do a great job of it.

We need a short list of people who could possibly pull it off, stat!

OT: I have massive nostalgia for it and I didn't even watch it all as a kid. I liked Bob, the best name for a protagonist ever.

Reboot was possibly the greatest show I ever watched as a kid. but the cunts at CITV (england) stopped showing it halfway through season 3 and I only managed to finish it off like nearly a decade later thanks to youtube (they still hadn't released the proper dvd boxset and the ones that where out cost more then my mother does in an hour).
which was even worse because of that massive frigging cliffhanger.
Sure the webcomic kinda clears up a couple of bits
but what the hell happened to those "films they said they were gonna make?
or is this like season 4 which was 2 films cut up into a buncha episodes?
if the same original people work on it (RIP tony kay) then it shold turn out pretty sweet but. as with most reboots/continuations decades after the fact they'll probably get new people in on it and make it into another pile of modern ben 10 style shite

but that's just me , I'm a complete pessimist

Wait sec... ReBoot as in Bob, Dot, Enzo an company!?

Seriously?

I think my brain just broke from a serious amount of happy.
I loved that show as a kid but oh god, the animation in it is so stiff. (though that was the best they could do at the time)

i'm sure the reboot will be awesome though :D

(and maybe, just maybe a source of work for me ^^; )

I just hope they catch a similar visual style, of course they should make it look better. But something about the color and style I always kinda liked.

He was magnificent in everything he played a part in. "The wheel of fate must turn!"

He played Megabyte right?

And Judge Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

He contributed to several villains from my childhood, scaring me in the process.

I don't know if he can be replaced but I'll keep an eye out for Reboot's er, reboot.

After they got out from under ABC's insane censorship it got really good.

Ah yes, Hellfire, that was one of the best songs Disney has come up with. I really liked that movie. I just wish ReBoot was available easily to buy.

Huh. Loved that show as a kid, but I don't think it needs a ReBoot. Pretty groundbreaking for it's time though. It was the first half-hour, completely computer-animated TV series. And Canadian.

Didnt really care for the show. But seeing as how far CG has come since those days, and with Thundercats being a really good reboot, Know what, Ig give this a watch.

Heh, ironic timing, I just tried to re-watch the first few episodes for the first time in over 15 years a few weeks ago. Little bit too much corn for my current tastes to overcome the nostalgia though. A reboot could be very interesting, particularly if they keep in mind that their modern audience knows a lot more about computer functions than last time (even discounting the adults giving it a shot for old times sake)

In the US you can buy the ReBoot: The Definitive Mainframe Edition straight from Amazon with all 4 seasons and both movies for $50.

Good show, but not sure it would work in today's world. Think about it, when the show was new, so was the internet. We can look back with nostalgia-tinted glasses and think it awesome due to how we saw the net then versus how we would now.

In today's internet Megabyte would have the personality of a troll and most of the rest of the cast would quote memes and other nonsensical crap.

Let's hope I am wrong and the reboot will be on par with Thundercats 2012.

Just looked those up, apparently, the DVDs have some sound issues throughout. Which is a shame, but have it saved to my wishlist, might look at getting it.

Why would it change their personalities to that extent? Some of the computer lingo would be more up to date, but it would only become like that if the writer/s were complete hacks.
