I think we should just leave it at that. Since I find your logic absolutely rediculous and on top of that you are making mass generalizations about people you know absolutely nothing at all about.

As I said before the only people I know of that actually think like you are those who are jealeous or embarrassed by their own body.

Oh the hilarity.

I would have bartered with him.
"We'll put our shirts back on for some hotdogs and a couple beers. As you can see, we're working on my property in the heat, and it's dreadfully taxing work"

Is it just me or is it getting hot in here?

*Takes off shirt.

Meh, the only times i'm shirtless is about 90% of the time at home (also pantless), and when I bike from in the city to home after rock climbing/work because I don't feel like carrying 3 shirts+climbing gear+shoes+locks+changed of shorts/boxers/socks.

Maybe it's because of where I live but people don't really care. We have 6 months of pretty bad weather so we all appreciate the heat ^_^

Anyways your neighbor is a dick, and I feel absolutely awful for his children. IT'S THE DAMN HUMAN BODY, EVERYONE HAS ONE, THERE'S NOTHING TO HIDE OR BE ASHAMED OF. Unless you're obese, then you've got a lot to hide.

I don't know what it's like in America but people in England walk around topless all the time and nobody's too bothered. It's your yard so you can do what you like.
At least, when its not bloody raining.
Water shortage were declared as it began raining heavily where I l;ive.

OT: You have no reason to obey his command. So don't as it may inconvience your labours...

Come back when you learn how to read.
Such an easy way out. A general insult with no real reasoning or explanation, probably because there is none. Whatever you need to save face I guess.

If you don't want an argument, don't quote my opinion and call it "rediculous" (I need to learn to read?) while insinuating that I'm out of shape and my view is only based out of jealousy and spite.

I don't recall saying anything about you individually, but if you are in fact the newly elected (in a historically close race with "The Situation") prime minister of shirtless 18-30 year old men worldwide, please know that I in no way meant any offense to you or your kingdom. I plea that you forgo your usual defensive action of unleashing thousands upon thousands of shirtless tough guys on your foes to ridicule and show up their sorry excuse for muscle definition and skin quality. Please accept this gift of no shirt as a token of my gratitude for your mercy.

I think it is a bit rude, but I would have put on a shirt. Gotta respect peoples wishes.

cutting the grass, painting the deck and shed, and replacing wood in said deck. It was very hot outside and I was absolutely drenched in sweat. Also I didn't want to get paint on my clothes so I took off my shirt. Plus with it being summer I decided to work on my tan.

My neighbors next door were having a cook out with family. I'm assuming it was for the Independence Day, better late than never, and his daughters were outside. The they kids which I'm going to guess are between 6 and 13.

Well I guess my neighbor didn't take kindly to me and my brother not having shirts on and came over to give us a piece of his mind. He said, "Guys put some shirts on I don't want my daughters seeing that." And he just walked away.

Now I've never spoken a word in my life to this guy and it really caught me off guard. My brother and I are just normally built so it's not like we're trying to show off our bodies. and we weren't bothering them.

Was this justified?

EDIT: Some have asked, and yes it was my yard.
I take it you either live up north or you live down south but have a yankee for a neighbor? I've never known a southerner who would have a problem with someone going shirtless in their own back yard, especially during the Summer. This story is just bizarre, and you had absolutely no obligation to put on a shirt.

It's your house do what you want, as long as you don't let the dogs out.
