I'm not sure where i'm goin' with this, so we'll just see when i get there...i'm not even expecting anybody to respond to it so there y'go...

Y'know, i'm tired of all th'hate people are throwin' my way for some of th'things i'm into...i'm tired of having to defend myself....i mean sure, i like:

-The Star Wars Prequels: (my interest in the entire gorram saga was th'jedi order so forgive me for finding the trilogy that actually has more jedi in it appealing...)

-The Twilight Movies/books: (yes, i'm a straight male, and while i acknowledge that there are flaws (Meyer/Rice/whoever-the-hell-wrote-the-Vampire-Diaries bastardized the vampire myth...i remember when these guys were actually MONSTERS!!!), I do still find them somewhat enjoyable, and do look forward to seein' th'next couple films...

-Smallville: This one's the funniest on my list because i'm such a hardcore anti-Superman/pro-Batman fan...yet i found the show all kinds of entertaining, especially the later seasons when they introduced Green Arrow who is INFINATELY more interesting than Clark...and side-note, Michael Rosenbaum is THE GREATEST ON-SCREEN LEX LUTHOR EVER!!!

-The Matrix Films (yes, all 3 of them): I'm so tired of all the people that rant about "Oh, the first one was great but the 2nd and 3rd were SO HORRIBLE!"

-Linkin Park (and yes, i'm including "Minutes to Midnight" and "A Thousand Suns"): True, they don't sound like they used to; true, they're gettin' pretty politically-heavy in their material, but it hasn't stopped from being good/original music!!!

-Ke$ha: actually, i'm not sure if this one counts...though i'm a metalhead and have been for a very long time, i do find one out of every (perhaps) 572 pop-songs catchy...i actually think most of what Kesha does is horrible, but for some reason one of her songs in particular i just find catchy...can't explain it, but there y'go...i've also managed to find a few good ones out of:

-Kanye West (actually just th'one..."Stronger", and turns out my entire reason for likin' that one mostly had to do with the involvement of Daft Punk th'rest of what that man does i consider garbage)

-Boy bands in general (i'm not gonna list names, but if i'm bein' honest with myself, i've gotta say if you collect them all together, they've probably managed to squeeze out about 1 genuinely good song between each of 'em)

Oh...and on a side-note:

-Dick Grayson Batman > Bruce Wayne Batman: Yes, Bruce was the original. But original doesn't automatically mean better! Grayson has damn-near all the skills of Bruce, but isn't tormented at all times...HE ACTUALLY HAS FUN WITH IT!!!

Th'fact is, i'm not meanin' to step on anybody's toes, i'm not meanin' to offend, but as long as i'm bein' honest, i genuinely liked each of the things i just mentioned. I hate bein' in "fan circles" and bein' looked at like a gorram leper because i find something about these things appealing...i guess when ya get right down to it...

I LIKED 'EM DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is all.....

*Edit*

Ok...maybe not all...

because so many people have commented on this i feel the need to point out that i've already addressed my overuse of the apostrophe in my posts....please feel free to either get over it, or just ignore it as i've already said my peace on this with post #39 of th'forum, so please...GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT THIS!!!!

So we post things we like that most people hate? Alright.

The Force Unleashed: Both games. I love em. Mindless fun and feelin like a Jedi.

K-On: Call the anime shit if you want, I think it's freaking hilarious.

Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny: I actually liked all the political power struggles and seeing each pilot's different motivations. It stayed interesting for me throughout.

Star Wars Prequels - I liked The Phantom Menace, The Clone Wars was kinda boring except for the Arena scene and the Clone Factory, and I haven't seen the 3rd one yet.

Kesha - Songs that you find catchy doesn't necessarily mean you like them. Just pointing this out.

Dick Grayson Batman - If he has fun with it... I wanna see a mini-series where he like somehow gets high and has to go fight the Joker & do all that while stoned off his ass.

And maybe just him joking around while on a case.

*applauds* Well done. You stood up for what you like despite everybody hating it and you don't give a crap about what they think. To hell with their hate.

I love generic FPS and dislike new creative IPs and indie games. (But mainly because I hate their fans)

Yeah! Also Alpha Protocol was an amazing game and I prefer matchmaking to dedicated servers (although my experience with them is limited to TF2).

Power to the people!

Sorry, just can't agree with the Dick Grayson as Batman thing.

I mean, I love Dick an' all, and I wasn't like RAGGGGING when he took over, I just prefer Bruce as the Bats. R.I.P. pissed me off though, I won't even lie. The whole arc was a mindfuck.

OT:
-I LIKE RAP. Leave me alone, dammit.

-Durarara and Baccano were terrible. I tried, and I failed to watch either of 'em. I know they're both those type of anime that even "haters" like, but I just couldn't comprehend half the things that happened.

-There was nothing wrong with Ghostbusters 2.
Yeah, you read that right.

EDIT: Forgot a few.
-I like living in Texas. Despite popular consensus from those who've never even come here, people are actually really friendly down here.

-FFXII was good. The only FF I've liked, too (ironically). And dammit, is Balthier a freaking BA.

I really enjoyed reading abour someone who refues to just blend in, and it was very entertaining to actually read something on the internet that made proper use of the " ' " thing, as for things that I like even though nobody else seems to, Stargate SG-1, and shirts that have no markings or logos, just one plain colour.

I quite like Michael Bay movies, they aren't exactly fantastic but they are at least enjoyable.
I actually loved the 2 Bad Boys Films...and while the Transformers weren't HORRIBLE, i do think that MB was wrong for the material...especially considering he didn't even want the job in the first place...

Y'know what? I LIKED FFX-2 DAMMIT!!!

But really, Squeenix was going for a campy Charlie's Angels-ish tone, and they did it very well. Although it was so different from the epic fantasy/sci-fi stories of all the other FF games, it was fun in its own right.

I also enjoyed Black Ops.

Well I think Kanye's come out and surprised everyone with his latest album. Now if it turns out all of his media-whoring was just an elaborate ruse to raise publicity he may be one of the most Magnificent Bastards yet.

I like Trueblood and found the United States of Tara reasonably enjoyable, yes I am a straight male.

You've got to give them some credit. It takes a twisted sort of genius to come up with Sharktopus. Or this.

Okay, so I only watched a little of each at a friend's house, though I know how both go. That said, I wasn't aware there was any hate.. well, for Seed, anyway. Not typically an anime fan (I know it's not all the same, but to be fair, I don't watch anything on TV), but I've got to say, it seemed pretty decent.

That, and Rau is a fantastic villain. Quite aside from about 80% of his lines being composed of pure awesome (okay, less so in English, but the original is good). Particularly impressive to me since dialogue for... just about anything written in Japanese is rarely memorable. I'm not sure why, just seems to be the case.

For whatever reason, I can't get into Full Metal Alchemist. I prefer FMA: Brotherhood. Which is odd, considering I rather like spellpunk regardless.

Also? I liked Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Somewhat childish storyline aside, the gameplay wasn't that bad.

Hey, i'm right there with ya...th'show is great, th'vamps actually act like vampires, and considering how much time Anna Paquin shows us her "Rogues" on that show, what "straight male" wouldn't love that show!?

I've got something I hate that people seem to love!

Inception. I have many reasons for this.

- Leonardo DiCaprio is, and always has been, an utter tool. He has never made a good movie, in my opinion. Titanic was boring and long-winded, Shutter Island was basically "They woke up and it was a dream", Catch Me If You Can was a jumbled mess, and the only good thing about The Departed was "Shipping Up To Boston" by Dropkick Murphys.

- The ending which EVERYONE knows by now, was entirely unnecessary. I'm sorry, but why couldn't they have wrapped it up instead of trying to be all deep and give the plot a few extra possibilities? It was just a terrible idea that was SOOOOO cliché.

- The movie idea in general was so iffy. Stealing/planting ideas from/into people's dreams? Seriously? No. Just plain ridiculous.

Oh, if you say "Oh, you obviously just didn't understand it hurr hurr derp!", no, fuck off, I understood perfectly what was going on, it was just overrated SHIT.

I like Phantasy Star: Universe. I know I've said it before, but I like it so much that I have to say it again, goddammit. XD
