This is pretty fucked up lore wise. Raziel was cast down and his clan destroyed, before he witnessed the vampires descent in baser, monstrous forms. The razielim shouldn't be in it or at least should look human. It's quite clear that Psyonix has absolutely no idea what LoK is, or any understanding of the story.
This is Alien CM all over again.

Eh, at least they're doing something with the series now. If it takes off and becomes profitable, they might put some effort into reviving the series. I can see how one might think of it as ruining the series, but honestly, I feel like Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 does well enough on that.

Meh, probably worth a look but I wouldn't put too much faith into it. Taking it from a single-player action/adventure/mild-puzzle game to a purely PvP multiplayer will likely piss off the fanbase of the original games. No matter how fun the gameplay might be, people liked the LoK games for the richness of the story and history...at least that's why I liked them so much.

Legacy Of Kain Blood Omen was one of my most favorite games in 90s, I didn't like Soul Reaver series that much...
Legacy Of Kain has a very interesting and distinct world, I wish they did a sandbox game similar to Elder Scrolls series, or a Blood Omen remake/reboot/sequel with atmosphere of Thief games... But no, they jump on the F2P bandwagon to spoil and destroy an interesting IP...

By the way Thi4f... Yes, Thi4f... Thief was another my favorite game 90s. Very interesting world, distinct atmosphere etc... They are killing Thief with the new game. They are turning an amazing game into a QTE-shitto...

I don't think it looks terrible. I've certainly seen worse looking multiplayer games, both paid and free to play. However, it is very disappointing that we're getting a pretty average looking online deathmatch game, instead of a sequel to the Legacy of Kain games. Maybe this is part of a plan to bring the series back though. I mean, an online Kain game isn't exactly something people had been begging for. I feel like most people barely remember the series. It seems like a weird thing to turn in to an online game after all these years.

Be optimistic. Don't think always because a game is changed a lot, it will be horrible.
Also they already mentioned it is a spin-off and not connected directly with the Canon story of Legacy of Kain.

Just watched the trailer, not sure if that was all cinematic footage. If it was not, it looks like the went from turn based RPG to straight action RPG with this one... which is.. strange.

Animations are phenomenal though, and the graphics look be top notch.

Well, Final Fantasy XV was originally Final Fantasy Versus XIII, an action-RPG developed by the team responsible for Kingdom Hearts and KHII. In its earlier stages, it bore a much more uncanny resemblance to that franchise.

The E3 trailer is a combination of cinematic and gameplay footage (dunno about the others). In my opinion, I think it might be just the kind of game FF needs right now.
