There's no need to panic yet. Even if there is the slightest sign of them getting fairly regular, significant support I'm absolutely certain there will be at the very minimum protests, at the very worst clashes with BNP supporters, and very hopefully the amount of public outcry and media coverage of the BNP will lead to a very wrong but very good suppression of free speech by banning the BNP :D

Ugh, the BNP are terrible. They hide behind "we just advocate the white culture" or whatever bullshit, just so that they can con the average person into thinking they're not racist.

They don't even let non-whites into their party. They said that they would end all immigration and coerce current legal immigrants to go home. They are that bad.
Wikipedia article on the BNP said:
According to its constitution, the BNP is "committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration and to restoring, by legal changes, negotiation and consent the overwhelmingly white makeup of the British population that existed in Britain prior to 1948." The BNP also proposes "firm but voluntary incentives for immigrants and their descendants to return home."
They're also really fucking homophobic. They support making homosexuality / sodomy illegal. They're that fucking stupid.

Wikipedia article on the BNP said:
Mark Collett, former chairman of the Young BNP, described homosexuals as "AIDS Monkeys", "bum bandits" and "faggots" and said the idea of homosexuality was a "sickening thought". Articles published in the Sunday Times and Daily Mail have alleged that Nick Griffin has been involved in homosexual relationships with other BNP members, although he vehemently denies it.
They've fed off peoples' anger towards the more mainstream parties. As they stand, they are woefully incompetent, but if they are allowed to get more power, they would become more frighteningly effective. There is a danger in being complacent that they would gain power behind our backs.

I got a BNP political leaflet through the letterbox prior to the elections and I have to say it was simultaneously one of the most hilarious and terrifying things I've ever read. They have this really weird "at war" tone about them. For example, one of their big justifications for their "not-racism" (racism) is "Because we've earned the right!", but what was truly excellent were the reasons that "we" had earned the right. They were literally just a list of battles. But it gets better, one of the battles was the fucking Somme. One of the worst examples of British incompetence that I know of.

The funniest thing about it was that they had a series of pictures of people with quotes about why they supported the BNP. Turns out the people in the pictures were mostly Americans and Canadians; just stock photos from the internet. How perfect is that?

The title says it all. I've been watching the BBC coverage online and now I'm quite depressed.
Is this the beginning of the end of multiculturalism?
Second.
Coalville also has one.
Not an MEP? Perhaps an MP or Councillor? I thought this was the first but I may be incorrect
You're right. MP's in Coalville and King's Lynn.

Given what I've heard of the places, I can't say I'm surprised.
