I could go for being a trader in fallout. Go into abandoned houses, take all the useless crap the adventurers didn't want, and make a killing selling it to the NPCs.

You forgot flowers and seeds. I swear, that game needs to make it so that you don't earn more by becoming over encumbered by fruits and vegetables than selling 3 epic weapons (which also over encumber you).

I'd like to be an item crafter, especially in the Paper Mario series. "Now, Mario: if you can find a Golden Leaf, a Mystic Egg, and an Ultra Shroom; I can make an ultimate item." Then (after much expense and agony), Mario brings me the items, and I craft him...a Mistake. (Oh, to be Zest T. for a day....)

If only there were a way for NPCs to make money off Paper Mario item crafting. Mario can make a killing.

Mismatched clothes that are the wrong color, have weird powers, look absolutely ridiculous and have pointy ends in every unpratical locations..
I get them for cheap (everytime the crafting guy is drunk.. wich is often) and somehow "heroes" are willing to pay HUGE money to get them thinking they are "kewl".

There IS an RPG that puts you in the shoes of an item shop owner. Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. You can get it on steam for pretty cheap, I think.
