I think 4Chan is pretty much the only site where they congregateFalloutJack said:Under the assumption that they can't COME BACK, I delete whatever site Anonymous congregates at so they're forced to bunk in with 4Chan.
This is just a risk we'll have to live with. A few lost lives is a good sacrifice for all the ones that will be saved.OhJohnNo said:But... what will happen to all the poor souls trapped inside its labyrinthine depths?Promethax said:TVTropes
Burn it to the ground.
I've either created a time paradox or divided by zero on this one. Your choice.henritje said:I think 4Chan is pretty much the only site where they congregateFalloutJack said:Under the assumption that they can't COME BACK, I delete whatever site Anonymous congregates at so they're forced to bunk in with 4Chan.
I wouldn't look at that as a good thing. Now forums are just filled with memes. Thousands of people posting thousands of memes in threads all over the net whenever they can't come up with anything original to say. Sometimes I like to think that the internet now adheres to some variation of Godwin's Law; instead of saying that a Hitler reference is inevitable in any internet discussion of sufficient length, the new law says that a reference to an existing meme is inevitable. I'll glance over threads and see how long they manage to go without a single person posting a meme. Most don't get past the first page, practically none of them past three pages.henritje said:4chan created allot of meme,s
the thing is meme,s are decent as long as they are not overused for example 4Chan knows when to let a meme die and when a meme is appropriate sadly 9gag doesn'tdobahci said:I wouldn't look at that as a good thing. Get rid of all that, and maybe all those meme posts would be filled with actual content!
Or they just wouldn't exist, which would be just as well. It'd make it easier for people to find the posts that actually add something insightful to the conversation at hand.
That's just the thing, though. All memes are overused. That's how they become memes to begin with. It's because one guy said something interesting or clever or, for whatever inexplicable reason, catchy, and then a zillion other people decided to repeat it as often as possible.henritje said:the thing is meme,s are decent as long as they are not overused
there is an overused joke i can say but ill kill myself if i say itbean burrito said:At the risk of sounding like the grumpy grandpa, talking about "back in my day", but I have to agree. Remember when memes were subtle?SmashLovesTitanQuest said:9gag. Sick of seeing overused memes everywhere.
